Just when things were getting civilized around here you had to come with your useless comment. Maybe you can't handle the large sizes, it's too much for you. Yes the correct answer is #1, but not for h264 or bit streams.

Bigger file size could mean better quality, a 250MB 720p file and a 700MB 720p file can be different. Try them on a 50 incher TV with proper sound systems and you will know what i mean.
Im not even complaining when Coalgirl's BD release could be over 2Gb an episode (Fate/Zero - 25 episodes = 47Gb+). How about cough up some money for more external storage. I have a total of 7TB now, and might grow further in another 6-8 months.
