Anyone else having issues watching this? I only hear the sound and there's no video. I tried watching in different video players (MPC, VLC, Windows Media Player) but no luck...

Video codec is VP9 (highly likely downloaded from YT) and that's why your players can't play it well.
I have no problem watching it with K-Lite Codec Pack and mpv and that's why you should discard VLC and (standalone) MPC.
BTW, nice anime! I liked it.

VLC and MPC should be able to play that no issues (not saying to actually use them). MPV all the way!

I prefer to use MPC and VLC, and 99.99% of anime I watch works with a least one of these two options. But Ple Ple Pleiades x Kage-Jitsu seems to be part of the 0.01% that just didn't work.

Anyway, I found a solution. I uploaded the file here ( https://cloudconvert.com/mp4-converter ) and re-converted it to MP4. Then tried watching it again in MPC and VLC, and it now works with both! :)

By the way, for anyone getting "Syntax error at line 202", try downloading updated subs here and it should now work properly:

It's weird to be attached to a dead (MPC, 2016) and broken player (VLC), but if that's your hobby, expect problems. Don't bother to post them, the answer will always be to update your software.

Not dead means getting updates. According to wikipedia the MPC project ended in 2016. If you're getting updates then you are using something else.

Updates are not always a good thing. Look at utorrent 2.2.1 for example, even if it's an old version, it's still the best utorrent version.

Anyway, I like using MPC and VLC (with CCCP codec pack) and I'm familiar with the settings, I don't want to switch to another video player. This is the very first time in more than a decade that I could not watch an anime with neither MPC or VLC, and I already found a fix.

K-Lite Codec Pack's embedded media player is MPC-HC. So You can use much superior KLCP instead of the ancient CCCP and dead MPC!

I'm unsure if newer software is compatible with older OS (I use Windows XP). And I like my current software since it works perfectly fine, so there is no need to replace it.

For the anon who posted the cloudconvert link, THANK YOU!! I couldn't find any info online on how to fix that AV1 error, but that worked like a charm! :)
