who watches the dub with full subs? obviously they never match up because they're not dubtitles.

All the dubs I have purchased over the years have english and japanese audio options, engllish and japanese subs, and often include sub with signs subs as a separate option.
And yes, you can turn on subs in same language, for the hearing impaired.

Quite a stretch to twist normal into some kind of attack on the viewers IQ.

The original comment was about the controversy of translations using "sissy" and "darling" for this show. It had nothing to do with trying to simultaneously listen to a dub while reading subs.
