It looks like what's happening is that someone is taking an old Nyaa torrent and adding it to TokyoTosho, and I guess the admin accounted for that in how AT fetches cross-posted scraped torrents.

One of the simplest ways AT has to skip old torrents is to read the "creation date" field in the torrent itself.

For this one that is "creation datei1321451040", which works out to Wednesday, November 16, 2011 1:44:00 PM (GMT), which matches the time you'll see if you click through to the Nyaa link above.

Nyaa also allows you to search via the hash which can be pulled from a magnet link or calculated from the torrent file so AT can also determine the age of a repost by checking the results from that search.

Curiously enough many of the ancient reposts popping up on AT still appear to have one or more seeds so there is some little value in having the torrent details archived here for people who otherwise (for whatever reason given all the options) cannot go search for hard-subbed potato classics directly on Nyaa.

It's ok to dig up some of the classics but they at least have to plant some kind of a seed.
