Just wondering. I ain't no hater and I know that hating on "special", famous anime right now is the bomb these days but is this movie really that amazing? The MAL rating for this is unlike anything I ever seen before and I don't think it's going down any time soon. 9.40 for god sake, not even Full Metal Alchemist can beat that (for now).

The rumours made me watch. Yeah it was great. Brilliant VA, briliant whatever and everything. But worth the MAL score and the praises? ... no.
Its no masterpiece, just another great, yet overrated anime. Wait til this stupid heat dies, then see what happens to the scores and the criticisms. I mean Spirited Away is the masterpiece anime movie that NOTHING can beat (not the way anime industry is going...).
Not saying anything regarding anime tv shows, because FMA certainly is not worth the 1st seat, though I loved that show.

PS. I am no hater. Actually I really liked the movie. It had a great plot, brilliant twists, and an excellent and better ending than this director's other works. Definitely worth the watch, so wait for better quality.

Don't really think this movie is universally loved (yet) like those Pixar films since its hard for anime or an anime movie to become a household name. Spirited Away and most Ghibli film achieved that already of course and it be good to see this movie received the same reputation. On other hand, if only those idiotic troll that created countless fake account just to downvote this movie to oblivion doesn't exist....you can see shit like this way too often in the anime community and Pixar and Disney's stuff barely have those kind of bullshit. No way in hell this movie deserved the lowest score.

Bro or girl or whatever, all I can say is, watch the damn thing when the BD show up and form your own opinion. Like what I believe, life is too short for forming criticism against everything in life, especially regarding entertainment. If you like it, then good for you and if you don't, don't be a no brainer and keep that opinion just for you because its better that way, not actually preventing you from making an opinion or anything. I usually just kept shit to myself but hell, that's me.

PS : Didn't watch the show yet either. Knowing the director, this movie should be watch in the highest resolution available.
