Hello, these files are problematic. They don't display in VLC Player 3.06 for Windows at all: the empty screen jut flashes wildly, as if the window was resized dozens of times per second. Please review the situation. Thanks!

These files use a video format that VLC can't display at this time.  The torrent author isn't going to re-encode it.  Your options are to watch with a different video player, wait for VLC to add this format, or find another version of this show.

K-lite would be my choice for an alternate video player.  Find it at:

You have no clue what you are talking about, VLC handles this format/codec just fine. If yours can't play it you either have a corrupted install or hardware issues.

The issue of 444 and VLC has come up before.  So I would tell anyone the following:

1. If the torrent hasn't been taken down, it's not going to be changed.
2. If you want to watch it, you'll need to try something else.

I don't care what that something else is.

So your contribution is this fellow needs to reinstall VLC, even though it plays everything else for him.  It's doubtful solution, isn't it.

My general solution is that everyone should have more than one video player.  They're interesting and free.

There are several areas where whatever VLC is doing is not robust.  It works for some people but not for others.
19/03/2019 18:25 — Anonymous
They never said it played on anything else since they only mentioned VLC.
VLC relies on the CPU more than anything else unlike other players, hence the hardware issues.
VLC handles it just fine as long as the hardware used is compatible.

I agree with having more than one player, other players also use the GPU for processing.

They play fine on VLC 3.0.0 and 2.2.6 just fine.

That is my review for this crappy show I wasted time downloading.
21/03/2019 20:27 — Anonymous
Yup, VLC 2.2.1 played it without issues for me too.

Maybe it really is down to the hardware like other anons said here.

"444 10-bit will be fixed in VLC 3.0.7"
22/03/2019 00:39 — Anonymous
Yes, I saw that. The fix is catered to hardware that can't currently accomodate.

VLC with my machine is just fine with 444 10 bit, no "fix" needed. :P
21/03/2019 21:15 — Anonymous
If other software can do the job on this hardware and VLC can't, it's VLC's problem, not the hardware's.

And I can play these files without a stutter on an even slower system than the OP.

Throw away my computer or use better free software?  Tough choice?
22/03/2019 00:46 — Anonymous
VLC *can*, that's the point. Some of us are reporting that we've no issues with these files played on VLC.

If it works for some and not for others, it's not logical to blame the software but something on the user's end.

No worries though. Those of you who need extra help will have it soon.

A product that worked for 90% or less of users would never go to market.

VLC hopes to soon be able to do what every other video player on the market has been able to do for years.  Congratulations, and good luck on ordered chapters and all the other stuff every other player on the market has been able to do for years...

And admiration for the loyal users of the most inefficient program of its kind.
22/03/2019 01:03 — Anonymous
Actually, a product that didn't work for 99.9% of users would never go to market.
22/03/2019 01:39 — Anonymous
Now that's some funny stuff! Just look at all those "as seen on TV" products.
It's because of the hardware, just like why h.265 won't play on a lot of toasters.

The 4:4:4 may play using a different player because they make use of the GPU to make up for the lack of what the processor can handle.
22/03/2019 01:43 — Anonymous
Most laptops don't have gpu, except high end.

Being proud to use VLC is like being proud that your car can go up a hill if pushed by a truck.
22/03/2019 01:49 — Anonymous
I don't think anybody here is posting how proud they are. They are just saying that VLC will play it while others are saying it can't.
Since these files play with VLC on the 2 comps and my laptop I checked I'd say that VLC can definitely play them.
22/03/2019 01:52 — Anonymous
No, the question is whether that's good enough, that it works for some people.

The answer is "No".  Even VLC recognizes that isn't good enough, hence a fix coming.
22/03/2019 01:54 — Anonymous
Being content with VLC is like being content the product you make only causes occasional house fires.
22/03/2019 01:55 — Anonymous
And I remember when VLC could play h.265 and MPC couldn't until there was a "fix".
22/03/2019 02:06 — Anonymous
Actually, what I remember how long it took for VLC to be able to play HEVC 12-bit from all the complaints here at AT about blank screens.  It took months and months and months.
22/03/2019 02:08 — Anonymous
Being happy you use VLC is like being happy that your smoke detector occasionally works.
22/03/2019 23:15 — Anonymous
The salt is real. You're adding stuff into the convo that nobody's even saying. Who even mentioned ordered chapters, lol? THESE files are the topic.

There's this weird thing where ppl in anime sites NEED everybody to love what they love and hate what they hate, so I'll let you in on a secret: VLC is one of my backup players. It's not my main squeeze!!

p.s. Thanks for the congrats & good wishes!
19/03/2019 20:01 — Anonymous
Try another player like mentioned. I do agree with the anon that said it is not a problem with VLC software it is a hardware problem. VLC is perfectly capable of playing 4:4:4 files.
Because certain games won't play or play really bad on your computer doesn't mean it is a software problem, not including protection problems, it is a hardware problem.
Q 21/03/2019 10:23 — Anonymous
Hello, it doesn't work with VLC Player 3.06 on an Intel i3-4160 CPU box with the onboard-integrated HD4400 VGA chip, with analogue VGA connection to the LCD and Win10b1803 OS. That's probably the most standard and common config possible. It also doesn't work on an i7-4600U, Win8.1 notebook that has an onboard 1GB ATI FireGL card.
Thus I think VLC software has difficulty playing these 4-4-4 type MKV files. I've seen other ones problematic with VLC, like some highy compressed Maquia releases.
21/03/2019 18:28 — Anonymous
444 is un-optimized/poorly implemented in VLC, so move on to other software or buy a premium computer.  Several things in VLC do not work for some/many/most people.

It's a little uncomfortable to change software and get it to do all the things you want it to, but I'm believe that VLC has no future.  Cling to it if you want, but avoid 444, ordered chapters, and certain audio formats, among other things.  Your present computer will do all these things just fine with K-lite.

sorry, wrong reply box.  For you I wanted to say I appreciate specific data like yours.  Thx

444 10-bit will be fixed in VLC 3.0.7

any other ways to download pls, ive tried all links here,
26/03/2020 07:52 — Anonymous
Torrent and Usenet.
27/03/2020 02:49 — Anonymous
i have tried that, too. no one is seeding the torrent and usenet says there's no file there.
27/03/2020 02:56 — B
AniDex = 5 seeds & Nyaa = 6 seeds
Not every one seeds 24/7
27/03/2020 02:58 — Anonymous
Use a torrent and not a magnet. I hooked up real quick to seeders and got good speed.
rTorrent that most seedboxes use doesn't play nice with magnets.
27/03/2020 03:55 — Anonymous
i see, thanks a lot.
