Because I loved it, that's why! Maybe for some it will be boring and uneventful, but for others they find it exciting, original and entertaining as the story unfolds causing you to use your brain. To me this series was more realistic then the movie Time Machine (I never have read the novel, so no comments about that.) The aspect of playing with time and the consequences of doing so. Trying to fix something but only making it worse. Oh, I love it!!!

Of course this is just my opinion, yet last winter (if my memory serves me correctly) it was on the top 10 list of "best rated anime" on ANN website, for sometime. In fact I just checked and it's still #1, go figure.

So it's all a matter of taste and one's personal reality. Just because I think it's good doesn't make it good, it just makes it good for me.

Thats a good answer alpeia2. I feel like a lot of people miss that thought process. A lot of people tend to be like "I love it so your taste is shit!" / "fantards" / "this show is for mentally retarded kids" / etc.etc. It's as if it never occurred to them that people are different, and people can have opinions. Lest us forget that people also seem to judge a lot of things very harshly especially if its remotely popular at times. I know this comment was off topic but was appreciative of alpeia's thoughts.

Ditto to coffeemonger and alpeia2. I've also found that I've "grown" into some anime that didn't originally interest me. And I've "grown" out of some others, but I'm expecting a bell-curve dotage so I'll love them again someday, probably.
