But I also wanted to correct one line I felt would better be explained it I talked about the track gauge. The reason the E5 cannot run to Akita is because it is built to run on Shinkansen tracks. The E6 Komachi is a narrower frame designed to run on the Mini Shinkansen tracks which convert the narrower gauge tracks to a standard gauge, allowing it to run, albeit not at the speed of the others. I find it fascinating that they worked that into the show. |
