Playback of this file is smooth and normal for me with potplayer and the KLite pack. Google them if you're interested. But it may just depend on your hardware.

I am also having problems with playback through VLC. I have downloaded and watched half a dozen more anime episodes today and watched them with no problems. I have downloaded and watched the other episodes from VipapkStudios and AnimeXin with no problems so far.

I too have no issues with potplayer + lav filters (from pure codec) but i noticed a ~20% higher cpu/gpu load in comparison to the last episode.

It's likely due to the encoder using HEVC instead of AVC for this episode.

Why would the uploader change the compressions now ? There was nothing wrong with the way AnimeXin was doing the downloads up until VipapkStudios took over.

Possibilities are endless ...

The best and most powerful media players are K-Lite Codec Pack (Mega), PotPlayer, mpv player and SMPlayer.
Once VLC was the best one, it was even the Swiss army knife of media players, but not anymore!
SMPlayer and mpv player are cross-platform while KLCP and PotPlayer are only available for Windows.

K-lite is not a player, it says so even in the name, lol.
It's just a bloated pile of stuff for people too lazy to install the proper players and codecs themselves.
As with all bloated things, too much can sometimes hurt your enjoyment.

My original point was that having ALL the things from K-Lite can cause unpleasant surprises for the user.
K-lite isn't a "complete working player", it is much more. Stop confusing people.
The 60MB size isn't a big deal. Viruses are much smaller, yet cause lots of troubles, right?
A software conflict, or unexpected interaction between parts of the pack, or just a mere bug in one of the parts can be bad as well, even if not that damaging. Recently some guy was seeking help about sporadic Windows Explorer crashes when K-lite is installed.

Anyways, bloated software has been a trend the current generation grew up with. I don't expect you to understand.
It's useless to continue arguing.

P.S. fun trivia - some people are suing Google for secretly using-up 350MB of their mobile data...

Your info is way out of date. KLite is the only source of new versions of the retired MPC-HC program itself, and the KLite choices for codecs and splitters are the program defaults.

I would just like to watch the videos with a standalone player that doesn't so many options that I would have to take a college course to understand. I don't need something that I can rip and encode to make a so called masterpiece (until the DVD or Blu Ray comes out) and upload it so that everyone can praise me.
Keep it simple so that everyone can enjoy it.
