Potplayer will make a page of 16 random snapshots of whatever video you're viewing with a single command. It also creates individual snapshots with or without the subtitles, capture streaming clips, etc. An option outside of a particular video player is Google's free Picasso software.

I expect you're seeing a sample of what admin uses on this page.
