Lots of people can't access Nyaa.
Even some of the VPNs restrict commenting or uploading even when you can access Nyaa.

Anyone can read Nyaa:

But making comments on Nyaa probably won't happen for most people for a variety of reasons.

If a poster wants comments/interactions they leave contact info like a discord or IRC. Many don't want contact these days and don't respond even to Nyaa posts. (Very wise.)

The source of this torrent posts as anonymous and provides no contact info.

I have a VPN through Mozilla and can only see things as a guest at Nyaa even though I have a Nyaa login.
The same thing happens with www.proxysite.com as well as Nyaa being seen as a dangerous website sometimes.
I guess I have to find a better VPN.

I don't know about now, but in the past Nyaa itself has blocked VPN access. They have always emphasized control over access, as they want to be able to block troublemakers.

As for dangerous website warnings, browsers and security software are becoming oriented against "pirate" sites regardless of any actual dangers.

I wouldn't trust any VPN based in or operating out of hardware located in the US.

I would think that blocking logins and comments sounds like something that Nyaa is doing, not the VPN. To get around it, you would have to find a VPN that Nyaa doesn't recognize as a VPN, if that were still possible.

You would probably have more success with a seedbox --a rented pc/internet connection, not US based. There was a time when you could do that for $20/month.

It was a mistake 'their' owner used the main domain where jav and hentai content was uploaded. Even Japan itself has blocked the 'nyaa' domain.

There are many sites uploading against copyright, the gov has no right to block them, except for copyright owners, but they have reasons to block adult content sites.
