None of those are (actually) good encoders, their aim is to provide decent encodes with reasonable file sizes not quality as you stated in your comment.

If you 'just' want to watch then those are "good" options and yes i've downloaded some from them. :x

The fact is they're as good as a WEB can be. I see no difference between those mentioned with their sources 1080p WEB [NanDesuKa] and [SubsPlease] 1080p WEB.

Yes, i believe most ppl couldn't tell the difference between encodes and sources as mentioned above.

Encoders usually fix problems that exist in sources like banding, blocking and etc.

but yeah if you cant tell the difference, just go for the smallest file and pair it with the best subs available. to me, subs >> encodes.

Why bother dl-ing bloat encodes if the subs are bad. :x

There is nothing wrong with .265 if done right. Even the 4K BDs are HEVC, not .264 AVC.

Same can be said about .264 encodes, I've seen plenty of poor/bad .264 encodes.
