There's a whole process aiming to reduce the artifacts from the AAC encode, and then enhance the whole to make it sound more pleasant.
It's not just AAC => FLAC, and you can check the waveforms if you want to make sure of that.

If it was just a copy, there wouldn't be a difference at all.

Now regarding your own encodes, the simple fact that you FILTER and "COMPRESS" is an infamy which you should be ASHAMED OF.
AV1's better than HEVC, I'll give you that, but it doesn't mean you should use it for that purpose.

Compressing alone, why not, filtering and compressing tho.. especially at the level of compression you're filtering is plain dumb : the bit of + you gave to the visuals, you take it back with the compression (and don't start giving me the "Oh but AV1 is so good you know?" crap).

I've been in this game far longer than you have, I would appreciate if you'd go back to teaching dummies how to encode AV1 on the AV1 discord channel, or keep doing buddy-buddy with those who think they almighty-know-everything.

I'm not sure I understand why you think filtering and compression can't go hand in hand. My filtering is tailored for what I do, that is to say keeping in mind the quality degradation the compression step will introduce and bearing in mind the encoding instance performance to avoid creating an unnecessary bottleneck. I never pretended to be doing fancy stuff, because I know my place.
Lossy compression doesn't excempt you from filtering out source issues that might detract from the watching experience, like banding or haloing. The encoding step doesn't magically re-introduce these issues. It's a winning situation. AV1 has nothing to do with this reasoning, it applies regardless of the format. Yet, you'll see some big names like Vodes or MTBB doing Mini filtered releases as alternatives to their bigger releases. They are people with high quality standards. They would not be doing this if it was "plain dumb".

I'm afraid I won't fall for your obvious ragebait. I don't expect a serious, argumented and convincing answer.

Every encode loses quality, there's nothing such as quality preservation unless you go full lossless (which is the opposite of the route you're taking). MTBB and others doing filtered mini is also an aberration, "but" they offer a non-compressed version so the filtering they're doing can be appreciated.

Another example is the Russian guy. Youve likely seen the nutty crap he says. The same guy that starts crap with Luxury was starting crap with the Russian guy and literally every time the Russian guy had an anime episode uploaped the instigator started shit for no reason other than to set the Russian guy off. Im not a fan of the Russian guy either and he says some messed up stuff but he doesnt say a damn thing to anyone unless they run their mouth to him first. Once you say something ignorant to him he goes off. The admin jumped the imnstigators shit for it and I will never forget his excuse reason for starting shit. He said "I dont like the guy."
If you think its ok for someone to shit with others and they are innocenmt just because they dont act as bad then nothing I can say will convince you. I used to work with a couple guys that would start shit with people for no reasomn other than they thought it was funny. Both of them ended up fired after getting their ass beat on the job to many times. By your logic the people beating their asses are to blame but almost every time there was a problem on shift it was one of those to guys in the middle of the verbal of physical altercation. It doesnt take a genius to figure out they were the problem.

In your "people getting fired for starting shit" example, the ones to blame ARE the people who started shit. Because they had no reasons to do so. The difference is the intent. That's not what's happening here, and you're simply deflecting the issue or giving it a blind eye. What I'm criticizing is basically the same as all these anons, just without the being insulting part: lack of transparency, inflated ego, behavioral issues. There's nothing comparable to the situation you drew. My "crime" example, on the other hand, was provoking on purpose to make you realize the limits of your reasoning. Most of the time, I'm answering fake comments from the same few anons saying "audio/sub delay" or "MTL garbage", when there's no issue at all and they don't even know my process (for the said "MTL" releases).

At the same time, they keep asking for transparency, for me to share my encodes (if they suck, why?).
So they comment after I reply to them in a way that "pushes the ball further", and we end up with this kind of thread under my posts.

In any case, thank you for your comment.

At least it shows me that you *can* not appreciate my work (I have no issues with that), but at least you're seeing the situation as it is.

I was never banned in the first place (Nyaa yes, AT never).

How to get me banned :

1. Go to the feedback section.
2. Explain the reasons why I should be banned.
3. Admin will tell you that you're also looking for it, so if he bans me, he bans you.
4. Eventually, Admin may ban me "but" he made it clear a few months ago that he wouldn't filter out my releases from being fetched from TT to AT.

So even if you got what you wanted with the ThisisLX account here, you'd still see my encodes, and I could still post as Anon or just make another account (even post using another tag with another TT account and different metadata).

So really, you should just start being silent and let me post my stuff in peace :')
