- Better video quality than the source due to great filtering.
- Better audio quality than the source due to badass enhancements.
- All the subtitles I can find are added due to me being thorough.
- Custom made Chapters are provided due to my amazingness.

I'm just the best, you can suck it :)

LX, may I ask what exactly you're doing to the audio? Are you just converting the lossy source to FLAC, or are you taking other steps?

21/07/2025 20:53 * — ThisisLX

Available here : https://www.tokyotosho.info/search.php...e=ThisisLX

There's a whole process aiming to reduce the artifacts from the AAC encode, and then enhance the whole to make it sound more pleasant.
It's not just AAC => FLAC, and you can check the waveforms if you want to make sure of that.

If it was just a copy, there wouldn't be a difference at all.

DanDaDan S02E02, difference between v2 (AAC) and v3 (FLAC), it was in early stages of the experiment but here : https://slow.pics/c/jjC6rmjK

Why are there frequencies beyond human hearing? Trying to over compensate for something? Please just tell what you're doing to the audio instead of posting a zoomed out spectrogram...

The anon wanted to see if it's was just a blunt copypaste AAC => FLAC, it's not.
The rest is my concern, either you like it or you don't (same as for the video).
There's a lot of other releases if you don't.

Why do you have to be such a prick about it? This whole thing is just being exacerbated due to the Streisand effect since you removed your encode settings, refused to share your filter chain and now are being smug about doing God-knows-what to the audio. After reading such a conversation, I don't understand how tf ThisisLX is still not banned from this site. His behavior is all but "torrent-like" and very "animetosho-unlike". He gatekeeps his releasing process while acting smug about being superior to anyone else, and can't help being insulting to everyone each time he writes something. The fact he is not even part of the good filtering and fansubbing communities, or does not contribute to any public advancements, speaks volume about his character and the lengths of his self-proclaimed "talents". That is not something new, I have always seen him do this ever since I started using AT.

1. My encodes, my scripts, my decision when it comes to sharing informations about them.
2. My releases come with some trolls, get used to it, I consider them my fans from my Nyaa era.
3. No one asked you to read the comments, to care about them, or even to give your review of the situation.
=> They are trolls, so when I speak to them, I troll as well : that's the only language they speak.

------

Now regarding your own encodes, the simple fact that you FILTER and "COMPRESS" is an infamy which you should be ASHAMED OF.
AV1's better than HEVC, I'll give you that, but it doesn't mean you should use it for that purpose.

Compressing alone, why not, filtering and compressing tho.. especially at the level of compression you're filtering is plain dumb : the bit of + you gave to the visuals, you take it back with the compression (and don't start giving me the "Oh but AV1 is so good you know?" crap).

I've been in this game far longer than you have, I would appreciate if you'd go back to teaching dummies how to encode AV1 on the AV1 discord channel, or keep doing buddy-buddy with those who think they almighty-know-everything.

ChatGPT :

"No, being French is not a race. It is a nationality — a legal and cultural identity associated with the country of France.

Key distinctions:

Race refers to broad groupings based on physical traits and ancestry, such as "Black," "White," "Asian," or "Indigenous." It's a socially constructed category with no strict biological basis.

Nationality refers to a person's legal citizenship — in this case, someone who is a citizen of France.

Ethnicity refers to cultural identity, which can include language, religion, and traditions — e.g., Breton, Corsican, or North African within France.

So, while French people can belong to many different ethnic groups or racial backgrounds, the term "French" itself is not a race."

=> Hence, not RACE-ism.

You could say it's stereotypes, but that's like saying Americans are not the most cultivated people in the world, Brits tend to have an alcohol issue, or Indians make very awful street food. It's CULTURAL facts.

But fine, won't do it again, next time l'll add more nuance, like :

"Considering where he's from, Trix should be used to be around toxicity"
=> Maybe that'll better fit your standards.

AV1 all the way!

Sure, you do you, but with this attitude don't be surprised to have become an anime torrenting communities' scapegoat. I don't want to know what nonsense you said about french people and I don't see how any of it is relevant to the situation.

Freedom goes both ways, I don’t remember asking for your permission to comment.

It's funny you then went on to criticize what I do, even though on my end all I criticized was your shadiness.

I'm not sure I understand why you think filtering and compression can't go hand in hand. My filtering is tailored for what I do, that is to say keeping in mind the quality degradation the compression step will introduce and bearing in mind the encoding instance performance to avoid creating an unnecessary bottleneck. I never pretended to be doing fancy stuff, because I know my place.
Lossy compression doesn't excempt you from filtering out source issues that might detract from the watching experience, like banding or haloing. The encoding step doesn't magically re-introduce these issues. It's a winning situation. AV1 has nothing to do with this reasoning, it applies regardless of the format. Yet, you'll see some big names like Vodes or MTBB doing Mini filtered releases as alternatives to their bigger releases. They are people with high quality standards. They would not be doing this if it was "plain dumb".

I'm afraid I won't fall for your obvious ragebait. I don't expect a serious, argumented and convincing answer.

23/07/2025 11:28 * — ThisisLX

Available here : https://www.tokyotosho.info/search.php...e=ThisisLX

> The encoding step doesn't magically re-introduce these issues.

Every encode loses quality, there's nothing such as quality preservation unless you go full lossless (which is the opposite of the route you're taking). MTBB and others doing filtered mini is also an aberration, "but" they offer a non-compressed version so the filtering they're doing can be appreciated.

> [...] with this attitude don't be surprised to have become an anime torrenting communities' scapegoat.

Well, let it be, I can survive a few anons trolls commenting on a anime indexer site.
They're nothing, they're no one, they're not worth minding whatever they're saying.
That being said, playing with them from time to time is fun.

> It's funny you then went on to criticize what I do, even though on my end all I criticized was your shadiness.

Well, I don't recall asking for your review on the situation here so don't mind me if I went and checked your work (since at least *you* have an account with actual work on here, not just posting as anon).

I take constructive criticism from people who know their stuff, but when I see filtering + AV1 compression, I can't take you seriously sorry.

What do you mean "non-com pressed"? Their releases are all compressed, an uncompressed episode straight from the filter chain could be upwards of 30gb (assuming they're using ffv1). Luxury please don't talk about what you don't understand, you're just making a fool of yourself.

The fact that you're criticizing someone for doing Vapoursynth filtering, which actually improves the visual quality and corrects artifacts, is hilarious. You have no fucking clue what you're talking about and you're just spouting bullshit straight from your ass. Sit down and shut the fuck up. Your ""improvements"" are destructive to video and audio quality. You will never be a real encoder.

Your videos have extreme artifacting and are overly bloated to boot. There is ZERO merit to your releases - no size benefit, and no video or audio benefit. Trix's AV1 releases, on the other hand, actually offer some value - impressive quality for the file size.

23/07/2025 20:53 — Anonymous

There are only one or two people in here he argues with constantly and its almost always the same person starting the bullshit but hes always hiding behind an anon because he doesnt want to be called out. Thats why the admin called him out. Admin sees the ip.

Let me put it another way. If I mind my own business not bothering anyone and you choose to for no reason run your mouth about me simply because you know I cant take it and then I go off acting pyschotic and actr 10 times worse and talk about you and your family and even your heritage who is the problem? Anyone mature person with comon sense would always say the person instigating the situation.

Basically both of them have issues. If they were both logged in youd see it.

23/07/2025 07:07 — Anonymous

Are you saying it is okay to talk about one's family and their heritage because someone criticized me?

23/07/2025 07:10 — NekoTrix

AV1 all the way!

I'm sorry, you're basically arguing that if someone provoked you to do a crime, it would be the fault of the person provoking. Does free will not exist in your conception of the world? As far as I'm concerned, you're not logged in either, how much credit can I even give you?

24/07/2025 04:31 — Anonymous

Im not logged in because there is no need to be> I have no reason to hide. Basically I just cant deal with all the immaturity. Nothing else. I dont start crap with people. Never had one argument with Luxury. Im not saying Luxry is innocent either. What Im saying is more often than not someone starts it with him and its usually one guy.Yes Ive seen the things he says and dont agree with it. Mouth running and arguments arent on the same level as a crime.
Another example is the Russian guy. Youve likely seen the nutty crap he says. The same guy that starts crap with Luxury was starting crap with the Russian guy and literally every time the Russian guy had an anime episode uploaped the instigator started shit for no reason other than to set the Russian guy off. Im not a fan of the Russian guy either and he says some messed up stuff but he doesnt say a damn thing to anyone unless they run their mouth to him first. Once you say something ignorant to him he goes off. The admin jumped the imnstigators shit for it and I will never forget his excuse reason for starting shit. He said "I dont like the guy."
If you think its ok for someone to shit with others and they are innocenmt just because they dont act as bad then nothing I can say will convince you. I used to work with a couple guys that would start shit with people for no reasomn other than they thought it was funny. Both of them ended up fired after getting their ass beat on the job to many times. By your logic the people beating their asses are to blame but almost every time there was a problem on shift it was one of those to guys in the middle of the verbal of physical altercation. It doesnt take a genius to figure out they were the problem.

24/07/2025 04:37 — Anonymous

I ain't reading all that. I'm happy for you tho, or sorry that happened.

24/07/2025 05:04 — Anonymous

You must be that emotionally unstable anon who starts yapping about wildeebeest back then. It's always the same anon who posts giant wall of texts.

24/07/2025 22:36 — Anonymous

Ubstable? No thats you. I said what I had to say in two post. Yes long but choose to say everything at once then done. No arguments, no instults, just stating facts. Youve written over 60 comments here alone. In the past month likely over 500 comments. Ive written like 5 comments in a month (2 were links). Add up what youve written and its literlly entire a book full of psychiatric problems. Yet Im the unstable one? Im not the one suffering from immaturity thats lives for confrontation incapable of not shutting up because you cant deal with being called out as an instigator. You will post 50 more here. I however wont be posting in this thread again.

24/07/2025 23:40 — Anonymous

> Im not the one suffering from immaturity thats lives for confrontation incapable of not shutting up because you cant deal with being called out as an instigator.

Sure, buddy. Keep telling yourself that. You start imagining things. Just stop it and get some help.

Projecting much?

25/07/2025 00:32 — Anonymous

Chat, is this real?

24/07/2025 08:28 — Anonymous

Grok, is this true?

AV1 all the way!

Everyone knows the "nothing to hide" thing is *bs*, it's never been about having something to feel guilty about, it's about privacy, respecting personal boundaries. Ever read 1984?

Anyway, back on topic. You are talking about immaturity. The only person that's not taking this seriously is "Luxury", as proven by their behavior. I don't understand what's pushing you to defend them, but the fact you came after *me* rather than all these anons you criticize is incoherent. Or is it because what I say is uncomfortable? I don't recall "starting crap". In fact, the only offensive one here was "Luxury" which apparently made insulting comments about French people he ended up editing. A personal attack. Exactly what you're criticizing. Except it came from "Luxury". Got it yet? No? Well, don't worry, I gotchu fam.

I don't know who's the Russian guy and I don't need to know, because it's unrelated to the topic. Your sense of justice is perfectly broken, or your understanding of what I'm saying is. In your "people getting fired for starting shit" example, the ones to blame ARE the people who started shit. Because they had no reasons to do so. The difference is the intent. That's not what's happening here, and you're simply deflecting the issue or giving it a blind eye. What I'm criticizing is basically the same as all these anons, just without the being insulting part: lack of transparency, inflated ego, behavioral issues. There's nothing comparable to the situation you drew. My "crime" example, on the other hand, was provoking on purpose to make you realize the limits of your reasoning. It was never meant to be a generalization, which you interpreted it as so. Of course it is not on the same level as mouth running. Still, the fact you firmly believe the situation of Luxury and of those guys getting fired is the same is what's baffling me the most.

How do you know it's always the same person who starts conflicts under "Luxury"'s releases? Have you ever stepped out of AT and looked at the communities I mentioned in my first comment here? I made quick searches on several discord servers and *everyone* is clowning "Luxury" and his other aliases for their behavior and their work. Never a compliment. I'm sure you could find such criticism in other places, going back to their nyaa days. What will you say? "Oh, Luxury's the victim, the world is against them". Is it the start of a bad bromance? Just kidding, don't start taking it personally...
How do you know an anon as "written over 60 comments here alone" either? For once, I agree with the clearly provocative "projecting much" someone responded. You *actually* have no way to know unless you're in contact with admin. Let's not make pointless assumptions on the basis of paranoia.

25/07/2025 07:44 — Anonymous

Save your breath, it's probably luxury himself pretending to be some other guy. ofc There's no way to confirm, but there are no other logical reasons for some random anon to "defend" luxury. It's not his first time doing this. His methods are easy to spot.

mfw reading this, you just described what luxury does on a daily basis.

Most of the time, I'm answering fake comments from the same few anons saying "audio/sub delay" or "MTL garbage", when there's no issue at all and they don't even know my process (for the said "MTL" releases).

At the same time, they keep asking for transparency, for me to share my encodes (if they suck, why?).
So they comment after I reply to them in a way that "pushes the ball further", and we end up with this kind of thread under my posts.

In any case, thank you for your comment.

At least it shows me that you *can* not appreciate my work (I have no issues with that), but at least you're seeing the situation as it is.

23/07/2025 11:40 — Anonymous

> fake comments
>"MTL garbage",

But they are MTL subs, how else are you going to translate the subs? AI subs? come on, you don't speak japanese at all.,

Should we ban Luxury again?

22/07/2025 15:38 — Anonymous

Why is that even a question? He should be banned from the internet altogether.

22/07/2025 15:39 — Anonymous

Better yet, from life.

I was never banned in the first place (Nyaa yes, AT never).

How to get me banned :

1. Go to the feedback section.
2. Explain the reasons why I should be banned.
3. Admin will tell you that you're also looking for it, so if he bans me, he bans you.
4. Eventually, Admin may ban me "but" he made it clear a few months ago that he wouldn't filter out my releases from being fetched from TT to AT.

So even if you got what you wanted with the ThisisLX account here, you'd still see my encodes, and I could still post as Anon or just make another account (even post using another tag with another TT account and different metadata).

So really, you should just start being silent and let me post my stuff in peace :')

22/07/2025 19:07 — Anonymous

You got banned on it because of your 'habit' of barking other releases as if you were better.

22/07/2025 19:12 — Anonymous

> So really, you should just start being silent and let me post my stuff in peace :')
If only you could stay quiet lmao.

22/07/2025 16:32 — Anonymous

Luxury shut the fuck up and make an encode without banding!

22/07/2025 17:06 — Anonymous

I guess some people don't change, even after these years : https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comment...utm_term=1

22/07/2025 18:44 — Anonymous

Exactly:
"Can't do any TLC (Translation checking) because he doesn't know Japanese. He relies on machine translation and a Japanese dictionary to try to guess what's being said.

Inflated ego. If you read the comments section for his torrents on the usual torrent site, you'll see he's completely full of himself and very toxic and aggressive to anyone who criticizes him. He's also delusional and fully believes that u/herkz , a member of Commie, a group that's also doing subs for the show, is behind the SlyFox name. Also believes SlyFox is "stealing" downloads or some stupid shit like that."

They only difference is now he calls anyone who criticizes him "trolls and haters"

22/07/2025 19:03 — Anonymous

And the Luxury asked "where's the proof I do MTL?".

You know how content creators on Youtube have to beg to "Like, comment, subscribe"?
Well, I feel blessed to not even have to do that to get you commenting.
I know that everytime, you'll be there.

Thank you for making people notice my content even more with all your heavy commenting under my posts. Keep up the good work.

Good then more people will understand why they should avoid your releases. I'd say good job tho.

Honestly, I think they don't have the energy to read all your comments and simply proceed to download the episode. And well, download once, then you're hooked with NeoLX's quality 😎

It's like an addiction.

24/07/2025 09:17 — Anonymous

Luckily, I can read well, I read comments so I know what I'm getting. Comments like these are super helpful in deciding what to get and what to pass. Think again!

I have yet to see one person here actually "hooked" with whatever you're doing. Nice try tho.
