Anyone got any idea what changed for v2? The subs look identical to v1 and poor (not just obvious things like saying IRL streamers are VTubers, not making WWWWWWWWW into LOL). Like an MTL trying to look human by having a "gameorver" typo and ending with "Translated by: Charlie". Charlie who? The point of a translation credit is to credit the person.

Also the German subs have a line that sarts with ChatGPT says: and end with a similar "Übersetzt von: Emilia".

They just didnt prompt it right or are using a shit model, you could probably get way better by using Claude 4 or Grok with a good prompt instructing for natural English translateion

Nope. A contributing factor to this is likely because the JP CCs aren't even out, which is what a lot of fansubs will use as a starting point (it will usually have the actual kanji for what is being said, as having that is better than trying to play it by ear, or even worse, use a voice-to-text+translation AI like they did with these subs)
