So SubsPlease is now doing 2 releases of everything too?? Getting kind of crowded in here. Between Erai and SubsPlease why don't they work it out where one does the quick releases and the other does semi-styled subs? It was a system that worked well for HS and Erai for years and it kept all the sites from getting flooded with multiple releases from the same group. Sheesh. I'm glad the HS void was filled so quickly but this is kind of overkill.

I'm not expecting them to work together. Just work it out like HS and Erai were they're both not releasing 2 versions of the same episode. It seems obvious from the additional font attachments for this and other SubsPlease releases over the last few hours that they're semi-styling the subs for what is v2 release just like Erai's done since HS quit. I thought it was silly Erai decided to do it after HS and now it seems doubly silly that SubsPlease is doing it too. With different resolutions, 6 releases per episode just from one group? Yup overkill lol

Right now whichever version is fine with me just so that I can watch these episodes, but I am making a note to replace all of them when the BD version comes out.
I never wanted to do that or had to do that with Horrible.

SubsPlease is not doing 2 versions of episodes, nor are they doing any subfuckery like Erai.
All TS is untouched and just like the official Stream. Only thing SubsPlease has done is restyle the dialogue styling.

This re-release is nothing more than renaming the show in the filename due to an error that was pointed out and they made their dialogue style slightly smaller because people complained.

I assume from your knowledge of why this v2 exists and also your out-of-nowhere slam on Erai for doing something more with the shitty typesetting than what's presented in the official stream that all instances of "they" and "their" in your post should be read as "we" and "our". If so, question: just what is wrong with you guys that makes you hate on Erai so much? To be honest, SubsPlease is still in diapers and could learn a thing or two about positively contributing to the scene.

Actually my knowledge of it is simply based on reading the torrent description and I have no affiliation to either Erai nor SubsPlease.

As for the comment about Erai's TS ability, it's because they pick-n-choose which signs to touch and which not to (as seen here: https://puu.sh/GBeDI/f0a3ae6ceb.jpg ), then do so poorly to the point that CR's TS is at a higher standard than theirs. While they leave out a line in the header that scales borders hence breaking their TS, and despite being around for years only managed to learn how to mux fonts a few days ago after lots of complaints... which also rendered their TS useless until then.

It's weird because aside from forgetting fonts for years.... Erai was doing very well for the most part. They get Trusted status on Nyaa and suddenly think they have to start doing more and in the process ended up breaking things.

I think they didn't bother muxing fonts because all the fonts used in their TS are system standard fonts for pretty much any computer built in the last 20 years. Maybe not Android OS though? I always thought Erai did a much better job than HS, but this whole post-HS shift seems to have temporarily screwed them up.

You're not the first person I've seen say this... yet multiple releases I checked out used fonts that were not installed on my android phone, my Win10 system, nor my Linux based system. So I wonder what OS people use where all of these fonts happen to be installed? And even if they were installed on the main OS people might use... It's still obviously best to include them, because lots of people obviously aren't going to be on such devices. Like what happens with Plex servers and such?
