I’ve been holding off on answering that question because to be honest, I find Pokémon movies to be very hit-or-miss in terms of quality, and I wanted to wait until I’d actually SEEN the movie before deciding on whether I wanted to work on it or not. That said, I was in Japan last week and managed to catch it in theaters. So I can now safely say that this is easily one of the best movies to have come out of the Pokémon franchise, and that yes, we do indeed plan to sub it when the Blu-ray comes out in December. (The exact release date hasn’t been announced yet, but looking at when the previous movies have come out, I’m confident it will be released around December 19th.) While movies require far more time and effort than a TV-episode do, I am confident that we’ll be able to get it out in a relatively timely fashion while still maintaining a level of quality comparable to that of our previous movie releases. |
