Hey I'm the same guy that under 5 minutes ago said "Does not appear to contain subtitles". It may actually contain subtitles, I just don't know how .mkv files work (No separate subtitle file is available)

Wikipedia is a good resource. MKV are container files with video, audio and subs files. If you want to play them, play the mkv with a player like k-lite. If you have something else in mind, you'll need to learn how to extract subs and edit them from the mkv.
