Could filtering Anidex listings with AniDB automate solving the problem, as Anidex seems to be unsupervised and dying?

RWBY get AniDB's un-coveted 'Whatever you were searching for is not Anime' listing, as everyone probably knows.

It seems that in America, "Anime" has come to mean animated cartoons from the country of Japan alone yet there are Anime's from China, and Korea as an example. If you look in the closing credits even most American cartoons have outsourced to Korean studios in the past but they are still labeled "cartoons". No matter how you look at it, an anime is still a cartoon.
RWBY is an American animated cartoon so if you don't want to watch it maybe others do.
If you are complaining this much about RWBY just go back to watching Pokemon and keep touching yourself.

Every anime is an animation but not every animation is an anime.
Anime, at least outside of Japan, refers to particularly Japanese style of animation that differs from other/Western animations in character design, illustrations and story. So the animations like The Flintstones, The Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears, Ben 10, Teen Titans, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Tom and Jerry, Mike Tyson Mysteries, etc. aren't considered anime as they are quite different in character design, style and plot from Japanese animations (anime).
However RWBY is different from the animations mentioned above since its production company (Rooster Teeth Productions) describes it as "the first western anime series to be distributed in Japan", while the Japanese style is clearly present in RWBY.
So, despite the fact that the creators of this series are non-Japanese, we can consider it being an anime.

whoever complaint this must had never watch RWBY or never watch it in japananese voice.
AnimeTosho is a archive heaven for all anime/cartoon. AnimeTosho never say u can't put other animated that were not made from japan animation. So yes, RWBY deserve to be here!
