Is this torrent really impossible to fetch? Please.. what's the policy that it was skipped? Maybe it can be overlooked and be fetched manually.
29/12/2014 06:49 — Anonymous
From the FAQ (ref -- under login):
"What files does AnimeTosho skip?
Due to bandwidth limitations of the server, AnimeTosho skips the following:

        Anything over 12GB in size
Whatever the script considers to be a 'batch', over 8GB in size

However if there's something you want, you can elect to post a comment in the skipped torrent to see if anyone is willing to help.
29/12/2014 07:32 — sinner08910
This isn't even 10 GB. =.=
And yes it is a batch according to the script, but in reality it can be considered as not really a batch since it's individual release wasn't fetched 'coz it wasn't uploaded in the first place. It IS a new encode with a new group releasing it. I hope in these cases for which it can be considered a bug, someone could help out and fetch it manually.

SallySubs on their web page call it "Log Horizon Batch (BD)" however you define it.

Sort of like the way you're a bitch without being female.
29/12/2014 08:00 — sinner08910
Yeah right. https://animetosho.org/view/dmonhiro-m...0p.n507371 Not even 12 GB yet. And it's even "really" a batch release. Right?
29/12/2014 13:10 — admin
I've pushed this one through for you.

If multiple large files are found, the script considers it likely to be a batch.

I hope in these cases for which it can be considered a bug
If you can think of a smarter algorithm (that's programmable and ideally not too complex) for differentiating what should be processed, I'm willing to consider it.
29/12/2014 15:28 — sinner08910
Oh no I don't. And I can't even think of how this script thing functions on a website. All I know is HTML, CSS, still at the beginning in PHP and some basics of popular programming languages like C++, C#, VB and Java. :3

I'm just leeching off in the anime industry... that's it. Though I considered myself as truly a fan, all I can do for now is watch a bunch of anime/s I like. I really appreciate your hard work admin. Thank you very much. You're truly a magnificent person. I know you are. xD

Do you process the batch based on total size only?

If I may suggest about processing the batch from TT (batch section), there are several:
1. You could predict the title which released in the batch, then you double check the to anidb. If the header response is 200 OK, then it would be an anime. The problem of batch release in TT usually it's not limited to anime, it could be drama, tokusatsu, etc.
2. About the language of batch release, you could make a pre-elimination by checking the website info. If there's website, you can crawl to that link and do some language processing (is it possible to take some words in the <p> tag and then analyze it whether it's English or not?). If no website, then no processing.

My assumption:
1. Anidb only collect anime information.
2. It's possible to do some simple token (words) matching in English vocabulary.
3. The size doesn't more than limited (e.g. size < 9gb)

But, in the end, I'm not supporting it and against it, I think the effort for implementing and the hoped result is not proportional because many groups inclined to use Nyaa whether single release or batch release. Batch releases aren't too often compared to usual/weekly release.
30/12/2014 09:40 — admin
Thanks for the suggestions - I'm guessing that this is more of a response to this post?

Yeah, unfortunately there's complications with those. For example, AniDB lookups need to throttled and managed because they limit the number of requests you can perform - if you exceed this, you get banned. There's also the problem of trying to extract a show's name from supplied name, and then matching it to an anime, which can fail in various ways.

Checking the website's language is an interesting idea. I can see problems with it (eg no website supplied, or groups which supply an URL that isn't their website, or Google Translate failing to detect the correct language) but there's probably some feasibility to it. I'm not sure how I'd exactly implement it, but I'll keep it in mind.

I'm actually interested in trying to do something with TT's batch category, but haven't thought of how.

As with the original topic, I suspect a fair number of these batches still won't get fetched from there - at least we have a listing.

Ah, yes, that post, I got mixed with this :)

Yeah, even though it's seem plausible, in the end, implementing those is not simple.

You forgot the magical incantation:

"Oh 00sas, Oh RamenSub,  Oh Ramensas, Oh 00Sub"

50x per compass point, on one leg for single audio, two legs for dual audio, two 360 degree spins for 720p, 3 spins for 1080p.  Drink lots of water beforehand for the "p".

We are ONE, we sail under the one banner, WE ARE THE MEDIUM PIRATES!
One month is the time limit for most of free accounts on file hosting sites.

Plus, I've already told you guys about this:
https://animetosho.org/feedback?page=2...omment7117

^That comment should solves about 90%  of reupload requests, including this anime and season 2 of it.

Let's learn be self-sufficient and get to the real stuff.

Downloading via torrent and honestly the speed is far superior than any file hosting. Get this via torrent. Its better ns speedier.
29/04/2017 16:17 — Anonymous
People generally come here for ddl.  Some can't torrent due to their ISP (like university housing), some don't know how, and some don't want personalized copyright warnings or threats coming to their home address.
29/04/2017 16:29 — Anonymous
ddl is safer than torrent, though that won't last very long.
29/04/2017 17:08 — Anonymous
DDL safety:
1. Looking back at the cases of Hotfiles and MU, both seized by the FBI, the question was what logs they kept of user access.  I expect current download hosts are aware of that issue and avoid logs as not being in their interest either.
2. Current enforcement is after those who distribute rather than those who receive.
3. If you're concerned, look for encrypted hosts.  Currently some are and some aren't.

Or just use a good VPN
29/04/2017 17:38 — Anonymous
VPN violates terms of service at some ISPs, if they catch you.

Fuck comcast
29/04/2017 19:03 — RamenSub
are you generalising that downloading through torrent is faster?
It's not always faster.
If the torrent only have 1 seeder and that seeder limit that torrent up speed to 5kbps, you're wrong. :^)
29/04/2017 19:13 — Anonymous
I said "this" at the end and I said "downloading" on this page, meaning it was ongoing, which it finished ages ago.... what an ignorant asshole.
29/04/2017 19:19 — Anonymous
You should've said: "I'm downloading this via torrent and honestly the speed is fast", to be more accurate.
29/04/2017 19:32 — RamenSub
:^)

The cons of posting as anon, being unable to fix shit.
Also, security code is a hassle.
