Next Chapter preview no ENG Audio
08/12/2024 01:24 — Anonymous
because the previews weren't dubbed...
11/02/2025 18:39 — Anonymous
So they just merge the eng audio from another source "web" in to the BD copy? Nice way to do a sloppy job.

what are you talking about? this uses english audio from the usbd.
12/02/2025 04:52 — Anonymous
So the USBD dosen't have english audio in the preview chapter?
12/02/2025 05:04 — Anonymous
I don't think the USBD even has the preview segments, similar to the web version.
12/02/2025 17:05 — Anonymous
Well, from the description the source is KoushinRip@Nyaa (JPBD). so  there are preview in the japanese, but not in the US? So from your point, they deliberately cut it out just for the US version?
12/02/2025 17:15 — Anonymous
They've done it before with shows like Re:Zero
12/02/2025 17:23 — Anonymous
Maybe it was done to accommodate WEB/BD differences, as encoding back to AAC would just introduce further compression.
12/02/2025 17:41 — Anonymous
Web wouldn't be 5.1
12/02/2025 17:58 — Anonymous
Yes, you are correct, and the bitrate is way high for lower compressions. Well just goes to show they "studio/procucer" did not give a f*ck about the US DB audio release.

F sub producer, learn Japanese.
12/02/2025 23:18 — Anonymous
So why are you commenting on eng audio track? Go be a bitch to the japaneses...

5.1 English Audio Source: Zanros@U2 (USBD) - https://nyaa.si/view/1738254
That is the information on nyaa - so it is a lie?
12/02/2025 11:45 — Anonymous
First of all the ENG audio is Flac to begin with so it is not a lie seems the USBD didn't include the preview with the episodes as well.
12/02/2025 17:00 — Anonymous
Anyone can convert the ACC to FLAC and then join them in the mkv. Second if what you say is true and it was ripped from USBD then it is a "sloppy job" just like the other guy said.
12/02/2025 17:14 — Anonymous
What the fuck are you yapping about
12/02/2025 17:46 — Anonymous
Can't you read??? Just follow the question and awnsers above. Smart guy....
If you need a more detail explanation i am willing to spell it out, for you to be able to understand.
12/02/2025 18:27 — Anonymous
And they converted it to 5.1 at the same time.....
Let us not mention that the audio file size is about the same as the JP file. Just converting AAC to FLAC won't do that.
BTW, I'm sure you are just trolling.
12/02/2025 18:33 — Anonymous
It's just placebo.

... And Most people dosnt know technical side of meda files - codecs, bitrate etc.
12/02/2025 18:42 — Anonymous
When you say most people you are refering to you? and your "meda files"...

I'm 77 yo and have been in this game since you were probably wearing diapers.
12/02/2025 23:15 — Anonymous
Yeah, grandpa, the  game has change and you are stuck in the past.... and don't lie, people here are not stupid like you.
12/02/2025 23:53 — Anonymous
Sure, keep telling yourself that, kid. Several of us "Grandpas" are still in the game and you don't even know it.

LOL, go get your prostate check and your dementia is kicking in. But you can always enjoy your buddies in the nursing home...
Q 25/04/2025 19:48 — Anonymous
What's wrong with bubbles?!
12/02/2025 19:13 — Anonymous
Why he is "trolling"??? The season dosen't have the eng audio for the "next chapter or after credits".
12/02/2025 20:01 — Anonymous
If you have been around as long as I have you will find many US BDs and even DVDs that don't have Eng audio for that and sometimes don't even have a preview of the next episode.
I'm assuming he is trolling about the Eng audio because if one looks you will find that US BD has been available so you don't need to convert the 2.0 from Crunchy etc to 5.1 left alone it being FLAC.

That's it, just keep telling yourself that.

Only idiots convert AAC (lossy) to FLAC (lossless). It's like converting a 480p video to 1080p. The result will be a very poor quality video.
13/02/2025 19:22 *ThisisLX
I've got some apps that don't work with AAC, got to convert them to WAV/FLAC, so for compatibility purposes, it wouldn't be stupid to do it.

As for the conversion itself :

- AAC (Lossy) => FLAC (Lossless) : Quality's the same, but the file size is boosted for no actual gain.
- FLAC (Lossless) => AAC (Lossy) : Quality's worse, but the file size is reduced.

Most mini releasers go with the 2nd scenario (BD source), and would deserve to be called "idiots" as they're making the audio worse.

This releaser, even tho he got from AAC to FLAC, didn't actually make the audio worse, it just made it bigger.
It's still stupid, but not as stupid as the 2nd scenario is.
13/02/2025 20:22 — Anonymous
In theory, going from FLAC to AAC will technically reduce the quality.

In practice, if you use a high enough bitrate, you're never going to notice the difference unless you're an audiophile and/or you're playing it on extremely high-tech equipment.

A lot of the people who complain that AAC is worse than FLAC are probably the same ones who prefer vinyl phonograph records over compact discs (even before the Loudness War was a thing).
14/02/2025 06:25 *ThisisLX
That's the principle of going Lossless to Lossy : Even with the highest bitrate, there'll always be some degrees of losses, whether you can hear it or not.

While going from Lossy to Lossless, there won't be any. That's why I don't think "this" is that stupid.

Also, when I talked about mini releasers, I meant that they often do very low bitrate AAC/OPUS from FLAC BD sources.... Which is worse than what this guy did.

But I respect your opinion πŸ€™πŸ»
14/02/2025 06:54 — Anonymous
But your opinion is wrong, tho. You can't really say you respect one's opinion when whatever you say is simply wrong. lmao. It's something called talking out of your ass.
14/02/2025 08:27 — Anonymous
"Yeah, when moving music from a CD to HDD/SSD you lose audio quality."
13/02/2025 20:30 — Anonymous: "Anonymous "
First of in the description there is "5.1 English Audio Source: Zanros@U2 (USBD)" so he didn't convert shit. Second you made releases with "enhanced audio" which was you raping it and actively making it worse, so you're the last person who should ever talk about audio.
13/02/2025 21:27 — Anonymous
The BD has TrueHD audio so they did convert the audio but Luxury is talking out his ass as usual since this release doesn't use audio that's converted from AAC to FLAC

It's lossless to lossless conversion
13/02/2025 20:44 — Anonymous
AAC (Lossy) => FLAC (Lossless) : Quality's the same, but the file size is boosted for no actual gain.???? Can you provide evidence of this??? Because from academic point of view AAC removes inaudible or less perceptible audio information to reduce file size. FLAC means that no audio data is discarded during the compression process. SO if data was lost in ACC and then converted to FLAC it would NOT "file size is boosted".

Also what are "mini releasers" ??? Are these files encoded with x265??? If so provide evidence that x264 is better.
13/02/2025 21:50 — Anonymous
It does because the audio file is decoded as a raw stream and then recompressed, just losslessly this time. Will still be much smaller than PCM -> FLAC, but the filesize is expected. Fire up ffmpeg yourself and give it a try.
15/02/2025 03:52 — Anonymous
And why this is related to the question?  I will repeat myself: "if data was lost in ACC and then converted to FLAC it would NOT "file size is boosted""
15/02/2025 05:59 — admin
This is pretty easy to test yourself - take an audio track encoded in AAC, convert it to FLAC and observe the file size. Most of the time, if not all the time, the resulting FLAC file should be larger than the original AAC.
15/02/2025 07:15 — Anonymous
This is true but it won't make it as big as the audio in this file.
Also just like years ago the clowns converting 128 kbps mp3 to 320 kbps didn't make it any better.
13/02/2025 20:17 — Anonymous
Exactly. You can say that again. Also, ignore the comment above me. They're just trolling.

But I did tho, did you even read my comment?
13/02/2025 21:10 — Anonymous
All this talk about audio choices and absolutely ZERO abx tests are being performed.
13/02/2025 21:15 — Anonymous
Ironic.
14/02/2025 18:20 — Anonymous
Anyone who has a fit over audio quality, generally refuses to do one or fails the test 99% of the time.
14/02/2025 01:02 — Anonymous
It is clear that you do not kwon what you are talking about. The question was "AAC (Lossy) => FLAC (Lossless)" bigger file. Please provide evidence of what you said.
