not the first poster but I would defiantly like a good copy of this show, never bothered downloading before since there were no good releases available (best was some polished subs that were awful to start with)

As far as who the best was prior to this, polished would be group with Ayako since they didn't do any changes to the subs. Mendoi might have been the best for this series had they not dropped it 3 episodes in, but I can't confirm this since I haven't seen nor do I wan't to scour all over the place to find it.

just torrented this, it is similar to polished, but fixes the abysmal grammar and and several mistranslations, but still uses coloured subs to retain that '2007 feel', it also fixes timing errors and looks to be the best option

Here's a qoute from collectr's post regarding the colored subs.

"The colored subtitles have been retained, mostly because the team thought of going over to a more modern scheme of Main, Overlap, Thought, Flashback too late in the process. They lend a distinctly 2007 feel to the result."

But many thanks. And since no one has mentioned it yet, Polished and this is 848 x 480p (DVD) but I've been enjoying the 1024 x 576p version from an anonymous source. That extra little sharpness is really great. I wish Orphaned had toned up that one up.

Sorry. No named group to cite for reference and I have no recall at all where I got it from. With Ayako subs, of course.

Being a fanatic has it's advantages...

This is the same video from polished but with the subs fixed, hence the "Orphan-Polished". Your 576p anonymous source is Ayako's tv broadcasting releases.
