It seemed to me like he was disappointed in the lack of nudity from this episode. I also found that a little unsettling but I could also have misunderstood the comment. From what I saw in the episode I didn't have any problem with the partial nudity. I liked the lack of (God Rays) and (Mystery Fog) that a lot of other series use. It was more believable and clever the way that they covered it up.

well a lot of anime fans are pedos... and Japan as a whole has a massive pedo problem and they have tried in the past but failed to pass legislation to put an end to manga & anime depicting minors in sexual fashions. FUNimation even cancelled a show because they licensed it not knowing the sexual nature of minors in it and were afraid they'd be prosecuted for working on the show in the US based on Western laws.

Lolicons aren't pedophiles. Some are both, some are one but not the other, and others are neither.
Only those with agendas, or little ability to reason, conflate the two.

Pedos are only a problem to those that have a strong opinion over what others find attractive, and believe they have the right to lambast others over it.

On the other hand, intelligent, open-minded people recognise that everyone has a right to their own harmless preferences without being ostracised. They also recognise that cartoons are a work of fiction, and what's depicted there does not reflect reality.

The literal definition of lolicon is the same as the definition of pedophile. Both means you're attracted to kids. Lolicon is literally translated to pedophile. So deflect all you want, but you're still a pedo that wants to diddle kids and as such shouldn't be allowed around one.

Even in anime and other media both official and fansub alike have sometimes translated lolicon to pedophile as well.

Usage and context matter. "Hentai" often translates to pervert, but it's not typically interpreted that way in most English contexts.

The intended distinction is between attraction to real children and attraction to fictional anime-style child-like characters. You surely knew this, but if you want to argue a technicality, pick a better term to distinguish the latter from the former, and we can use that.

In what usage is hentai not interpreted to be pervert? I've never seen it used in any context that didn't mean that. Same as I've never seen lolicon used in a way that wouldn't classify pedophile.

In my part of the world, there isn't any legal distinction between whether the picture is of a real kid or it's drawn. Both can and will get you put on a sex offenders list all the same. Hiding behind the "oh I drew this, it's not real", doesn't in any shape or form negate the fact that you've got a sexual attraction to kids.

It comes as no surprise that pretty much every child molester seems to have fictional pictures in their collection. Gotta start somewhere, right? It's largely not talked about as much simply because they don't need to point this fact out when they have photos of real kids along with it.

Japan acknowledges they have a massive pedo problem, they just don't know how to deal with it without killing an industry.

I'm sorry to hear that you live in a country that doesn't make such legal distinction between art and reality. But the distinction *exists*, and the Japanese legal system recognises it. Like it or not, Japan's laws are what matter the most when anime is concerned.

Furthermore, pedophile is not the same as child molester - one is harmless attraction, the other involves harmful action. I shouldn't have to point this out, but perhaps the shithole country you live in has brainwashed you enough that distinguishing fantasy from reality is challenging.

Many mass shooters watch, and are inspired by, violent media, but very few people watching violent media are mass shooters. Similarly, child molesters watching fictional media doesn't imply fictional media results in child molestation.
I know that understanding directional nature of cause and effect is a difficult concept for you to grasp, but hopefully that was clear enough.

Japan acknowledging a massive pedo problem and believing that censorship is a solution, is yet another example of your lack of sensibilities conflating two separate matters.

I only hope this level of basic logic and reasoning hasn't fried your brain yet, and that you can actually come up with at least one reasonable argument.

Despite the presenter having an obvious bias and agenda, the actual evidence presented demonstrates that the ban on child pornography in 2014 (02:18 in video) has resulted in a steady increase in sexual abuse of minors (08:35).
