Are you Onalrie? Otherwise, I don't see why you'd feel attacked enough by a simple "lmao" to consider I'd be jealous of a situation that's nowhere near desirable. If not the download count, the only thing left would be that someone made an obviously ridiculous statement about being "official" encodes? I mean, anyone can claim that, there's no jealousy to be had, unless you're the one projecting here, which I suspect you are. I also wonder why you'd blatantly attempt to ignore my response to someone much more reasonable than you, with its proof that I don't care about this Onalrie person but simply the "official" statement? Maybe because you're an obvious troll, sneaking behind the anonymous tag so you don't have to be entitled for what you say. Unless you're a nobody in the scene, in which case this makes your intervention all the more hilarious.

New tracker run by a single person with no public announcement whatsoever (that I could find) where said person is also the sole releaser? Screams "not sustainable" to me. I appreciate all kinds of efforts towards free media and the usage of AV1, but I doubt this is the way. At least not with this method.

I use this opportunity to say an actual tracker with potential saw it's public release quite recently: NekoBT.to . We AV1 folks have started releasing stuff there and it's growing on me little by little with its fresh UI, convenient features, and the simple fact its registrations are actually open. It is much more modern in everything, promotes transparency over the content inside the torrent and seem overall much more welcoming for fansubbers, and simply good practices. Definitely not perfect and its future is not guaranteed either, but from the huge acclaim it has received in so little time, things look bright for the tracker!

Actually, I'd say the "obvious" reason is due to the inability to get a Nyaa account. It's not clear to me that this would violate any Nyaa rules.
