could this be fetched? It's 3 movies in one torrent and the encodes are vastly superior to prior ones due to the new dynit BD being much better. Please.

Seconded, please consider fetching :)

too bad motbob can't encode for shit thus making the superior source a moot point.

I'd like to see your encodes then

Only a moron would encode HEVC with a files this big. Clearly has no xommon sense or experience encoding video.  There has never ben a time HEVC is better than AVC. The only thing HEVC can do that AVC can't is take away the ways you can watch media down to 1. It'll never be added as a choice to any kind media player because it only works with software type players. (MPC, KMP, etc) And was first introduced then force fed by funimation to eliminate offline sharing of Anime. Which included bloating filesizes to the extreme end of stupidity.

1) HEVC actually saves nothing, when equivalent quality encodes between HEVC and AVC are made. They're roughly almost always same size.
2) HEVC saves space by denoising by default which degrades quality. This is why no reputable encode group encodes
with HEVC because there isn't any reason to needlessly spend 4x as long encoding for roughly same file size and quality.
The only real reason to use HEVC is when there's HDR issues with 4K sources.

Everytime a HEVC file is shared its helping funimation no CrunchyRoll but really Hollywood Movie studios because they own everything related to Anime sales and streaming outside of Japan except for Sentai(Only so the gov going after them.).
Funimation was sold 2005 to Universal Pictures  2007 They crushed the other export/importers except for Sentai. 6/8 companies filed bankruptcy at the same time. Took the power it gave them to force 4 min cut from episodes then began producing 2011.
There's no denying quality has been lost in every aspect of shows.  2017 they gained control the industry and said too much time is spent on making Anime. Budgets are half of what they need to be.  How long will so many work for free encoding HEVC.

All you  ever do here is bitch and complain and write essays doing it every time. The main thing you bitch about is the files arent in a format that pleases you. You then thinks everyone agrees with you but we never do. Please jstfu for good.

Also give it a rest with your constant bitching about Universal and Funimation. You crying all the time does nothing. Run for office and make the changes you want instead doing nothing but always crying behind a keyboard. Or else create your own forum where people like you can cry all day to each other.

I understand that you have concerns about using HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) for video encoding, but it's important to consider a few points in response to your arguments.

Firstly, HEVC is actually designed to provide better compression efficiency compared to AVC (Advanced Video Coding). While it's true that the file sizes may not always be significantly smaller for equivalent quality encodes, HEVC can offer improved efficiency, especially when encoding high-resolution content like 4K. This can be advantageous for reducing bandwidth requirements and storage costs, particularly in scenarios where bandwidth is limited or expensive.

Regarding your claim that HEVC degrades quality by default due to denoising, it's worth noting that encoding parameters and settings can be adjusted to achieve the desired balance between file size and quality. Skilled encoding professionals are capable of producing high-quality HEVC encodes that are comparable to AVC in terms of visual fidelity while still benefiting from the improved compression efficiency.

Furthermore, your argument about HEVC being limited to software-type players like MPC and KMP is not entirely accurate. HEVC has gained widespread support and is now compatible with various hardware and software players, including popular media players and streaming platforms. Many modern devices, such as smartphones, tablets, and smart TVs, have built-in hardware decoding capabilities for HEVC, allowing for efficient playback without excessive CPU usage.

While it's true that Funimation has promoted the use of HEVC in their encoding practices, attributing its adoption solely to their efforts to eliminate offline sharing of Anime might oversimplify the situation. HEVC's advantages in terms of compression efficiency and compatibility with evolving display technologies, like HDR, have made it an appealing choice for many content creators and distributors.

It's important to recognize that the decision to use HEVC or any other video codec ultimately depends on various factors, including the target platform, available bandwidth, and storage considerations. HEVC offers certain benefits that make it a compelling option in certain scenarios, particularly when efficiency and quality are key concerns.

While it's understandable to express concerns about potential downsides, it's also essential to consider the broader industry trends, technical advancements, and the evolving needs of content creators and consumers.

Do you realize that we're not in 2013 anymore? Back then, when it came to HEVC, many people complained, saying, "Why are you using a new codec? We already have AVC so keep using that!" Or maybe you're celebrating some kind of 10-year anniversary since it's now 2023.
