The number reported is accurate for what this release is, but nothing down here in 720p land is "right".

That being said, the original aspect ratio of this theatrical release is 1.85
The standard aspect ratio for HD is 1.78 (16:9) (less widescreen)
Nibl chose to go 1.889 -more widescreen than the original, thinking it looked better at this resolution that way.

If you want the original aspect ratio get 1080p (not available here).

The other choice is for standard AR of 16:9 (going 1280 x 694p):
