I know about them and they are old unseeded TV raws.

What about Cinderella Express and Umi no Yami, Tsuki no Kage?

An old show that was so bad it was never subbed. Why waste the time for 1 or 2 people?

Localisation status is not an indicator of quality.
04/12/2017 14:47 — Anonymous
Yet they (producers) didn't see any profit in subtitling it so they could license it elsewhere.
Other companies must not have seen any profit in it to license it to add subs to.
Yup, all the signs of a quality show.
05/12/2017 06:36 — alpeia2
I think it wasn't picked up because it's an autobiography of singer-songwriter Kawashima Ai which would have limited interest to people outside of Japan. Just guessing here.

And there it is. Like I said, why waste the time and effort to sub a show that only 1 or 2 people would be interested in downloading.
Even the producers didn't feel it was worth the effort to sub.
11/12/2017 07:14 — Anonymous
Why do you even give a shit what they choose to spend their time subtitling? Learn Japanese and watch/subtitle stuff yourself instead of bitching about how other people choose to spend their time.  You're legitimately stupid for thinking that quality has anything to do with whether or not a show is localized.  Plenty of crap has been licensed for Western audiences.  This is also such a niche title that it wouldn't have done at all well in Western territories, it has nothing to do with objective quality like you're desperately trying to make it seem.

tldr shut the fuck up and stop being retarded.

Thank you for your understanding

I do understand Japanese and know how to make subtitles.
I won't waste my valuable time and server space to subtitle a show that only a couple of people would download.
But if another group wants to waste their time and resources more power to them.
29/12/2017 07:22 — Anonymous
I see over 600 downloads, not exactly "only a couple of people".  Stop digging this hole deeper.
29/12/2017 13:50 — Anonymous
600 people who apparently speak Japanese then. Remember this is a local thing. Stop digging this hole deeper.....
29/12/2017 23:59 — Anonymous
>600 people who apparently speak Japanese then
lol, that goalpost move.  You don't even sound sure of yourself.  If these people all spoke Japanese they would have no need for this release.  Whether it's local or not doesn't mean shit, you were wrong.  You don't actually have any real arguments and are just now desperately moving goalposts.

Lulz, the topic is about Hachigatsu no Symphony: Shibuya, not Hoshi Neko Full House as it has to be subbed or dubbed to even be here.

It all started with this request: Can you guys sub Hachigatsu no Symphony: Shibuya 2002-2003?
11/12/2017 20:12 — Anonymous
To the anon that said " Learn Japanese and watch/subtitle stuff yourself instead of bitching about how other people choose to spend their time."

Maybe the ones begging for subtitles should just learn Japanese, right?
29/12/2017 07:20 — Anonymous
Nobody said that, nice strawman though.  There's a difference between what you mentioned and complaining about what other people choose to sub.
29/12/2017 13:55 — Anonymous
Did they sub it yet? Nice strawman though.
30/12/2017 00:16 — Anonymous
Did they sub what yet? We are talking about this OVA.  Stay on topic.  Again, the original remark is directed at people who get triggered that other people choose to sub things they personally don't approve of.  If it hurts your ass that much, feel free to go sub your precious Naruto or Bleach.

And actually, yes, if you are the type of person I mentioned earlier, or you don't actually know how to phrase your requests politely, then yes, perhaps learning Japanese is a good course of action.  Not knowing the language is fine.  Being actively snarky that people aren't subbing the "right" shows is laughable.
30/12/2017 00:41 — Anonymous
Actually this topic is about Hachigatsu no Symphony: Shibuya that someone wanted subbed.
I didn't request the subs. And I seriously doubt any group (I won't) is going to going to waste the time and server space on a biography about a person that very few people outside of Japan know about.
