Does anyone know if the R1 version of Bleach is cropped?

The poster says

Display aspect ratio: 16:9
Resolution: 720x482 <------- ???

At this point, the video res should be 848x480. They switched to 16:9 by the Zapakuto Arc.

Here at AT we had dual submissions for Box 18, ChaosBlades (this guy) and ChoeyXD, a day apart. We took the ChoeyXD for Box 18, not the ChaosBlades. ChoeyXD claims to be an R1 DVD-rip Dual Audio with 716 x 480p. Both are R1 subs. The differences otherwise seem trivial. If people have a preference, maybe we should stick with one source or the other. Or both, or whatever.

And there is also the C-W dubbed versions. I only watch the 720p fansubbed, hence my ignorance of which of these SD are best.

On this one (ChaosBlades):
1. Can you claim a "Box Set 19" when you say your source is a transport stream?
2. Calling it "HQ" --Isn't that meaningless? Is he hoping people will think that means "HD"?

1. Video_TS is referring to the untouched DVD file folder. Not the .ts stream.

Video_TS is the folder that is in the DVD and it contains all the files.

I looked at the screenshots and those videos don't look the greatest. The R1 release looks kinda, weird. The AR is right, but the resolution is such an odd number. I'm sure these episodes should be 848x480 or 852x480.

If what you're looking for wasn't offered for Box 18, it probably won't be in Box 19, and what do you suggest? Watching Scooby Do instead?

Whatever you like, but there was a release before that had a proper resolution. It was from an anon that released a bunch of R1 rips of Bleach. The torrent was huge.

It was up to box set 16 or 17, I believe. How these guys got their resolutions, I have no clue.

I'll push though.
