In my opinion this is one of the best Animes, that was ever made.
Anime Fans really should try and watch this Anime, it's worth to watch

I read the manga, never seen the show for some reason (weird).

If interested, I recommend reading it, it's funny. I've read Shonan 14 Days and currently reading Paradise Lost (publishing).
Just checked and saw that there are prequels and spin-offs, I'll probably will read those now too. =)
