Something is wrong with KF hosting. I can't download some dozens episodes starting from episode 8. I have tried multiple device w vpn too. It says connection closed and their CS doesn't fix my problem!

Go to "Source Links ●Nyaa" at the top of this page.
There you will see "Optional Audio - English, French, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish - Download here" (another torrent).
The audio torrent does not seem to provide any DDL, if you have problem with torrents, but the uploader did provide some times when asked.

1,200 downloads on Nyaa, no complaints.  Try another player.

I recommend EMBER's version instead. Works in most common video players like MPC and VLC, and it's also 1080p BD with dual audio.

EMBER is garbage. Better option is to switch to an actually good player so you can play this one.

Or just grab anything that isn't  AV1.

AV1 is much more efficient, though. Also, VLC is complete dogshit and fucks up rendering on a lot of things: https://rentry.co/vee-ell-cee

No reason to keep using an inferior video player that fucks up your videos and subtitles, and can't play modern codecs properly.

AV1 all the way!
Rather than being defeatist and say it's a waste of time, you might as well ask for help.
VLC, even in its latest version, is known to be broken, not just for AV1. 5.1 Opus is another, and the list goes on.
Please use MPV, one of its many forks, or alternatively MPC-HC with the MadVR renderer.

VLC works just fine for me. Most people don't care about 5.1 since they are watching on portable devices and not a dedicated media theater.

TLDR: Everybody deserves to try Opus 5.1 Surround sound if they want! Use what you want, but at your own risk. Imagine showing someone pictures of your dog and they tell you the cat in the pictures look weird. What's wrong here, the dog or the person looking at the pictures?

As long as users are aware of the technical limitations of their software and willingly use it with that understanding, there is no issue at all. However that is rarely the case with VLC and its plethora of users. Granted, a majority of all VLC users will not experience or notice issues with their playback and assume the blame lies with the data itself. Some users willfully enjoy a degraded experience on VLC knowing full well that the minor issues and annoyances they experience could be resolved with a different software solution. They may have a really good reason to choose this experience. To each their own. But it becomes an issue when people without this understanding come to blame the data. This analogy is a bit of a stretch but all these words we spew here are boring without it: Imagine trying to use your key on your neighbors door and blaming the locksmith for selling you a faulty key.

We see this time and time again here and in passing conversations elsewhere. Take this Opus 5.1 Surround issue for instance; A user encounters the issue playing a release with only Opus 5.1 Surround audio tracks and no alternative 7.1 or 2.0 tracks provided and so they decide to use another release with entirely different components. They notice the issue is "resolved" but for what reason exactly? Was it the shorter filename or the software they use to play it? Was it the video codec? Was it the bit-depth? The color/format metadata? Was it the container? Or how about the use of zlib compressed subtitles? Users will change 10 variables at a time and attribute the issue to what they believe is the culprit without verifying or understanding why the issue occurred in the first place. Although we are reluctant to hand VLC and their developers an excuse for these long-standing issues, it's likely that most of their users are not testing every single one of these variables in isolation to truly find the root cause - and it would be unreasonable to expect end-users to take such a task.

We diverged from the initial point a bit there, so we'll get back on track. Even if most people don't care about 5.1 Surround, they won't be able to playback some releases that provide only Opus 5.1 Surround tracks. So in that sense, they will care. Informing people that there are solutions to the problems they're having is more helpful than dogpiling on some specific thing. It's important for people to have options and the freedom to choose based on preference and not just what their hardware or software setup arbitrarily limits them to.

Here is the VLC regression with Opus audio in the latest version (3.0.21). It's nice to see that they resolved the issue but there has been no new version update with the fix to finally put the complaints about this issue to rest. There are other issues outlined in a link on one of the other comments. Anecdotally, we often see reports of subtitles being improperly displayed by VLC. The issue could be minor or completely breaking.

Have a nice day,

TLDR: I didn't say they couldn't, just stating a fact that most have 2.0 or 2.1. The majority of users here don't have a sound theater.

Our TLDR is poorly formed there so apologies for the confusion. We just wanted to hoist the dog pictures joke to the top since that adequately depicts the experience a lot of VLC users seem to have.

The issue is that VLC users who will be downmixing the 5.1 Surround audio tracks to 2.0 Stereo will still encounter the issue. It doesn't matter if they have a 5.1 Surround or 2.0 Stereo sound setup or some other configuration. It won't decode at all as described in the linked bug report. As an additional reference, we have replicated the bug and we don't have any 5.1 Surround sound system set up, just 2.0 Stereo.

For most releasers who are targeting smaller sizes, such as ourselves, can opt to only include 5.1 Surround audio tracks knowing that users without surround sound setups can just downmix during playback. It's usually not a big deal at these quality targets. Surround sound enjoyers keep their extra channels and every user benefits from a smaller file.

So perhaps our TLDR should have been "Everybody deserves to be able to decode Opus 5.1 Surround sound if they want!". Doesn't quite have the same ring to it but it is more accurate to our point.

Who is "we"? Isn't Sav1or one person?

It's us and it doesn't matter how many of us there are. We're not going to continue this pointless line of questioning.

If your question was more along the lines of "What credibility in releases do you have?" then your answer lies here.

Just enjoy the rest of your day,
