klite sucks, LAV Filters (incl. madvr) ftw. Then again we don't even know the os!? Or HW (CPU/GPU) as they are right, it's probably hw then.

PLEASE Stop! I'd guess you're not active in forums with ppl having endless problems with such packs (well, I've also had them multiple times). Nice that it works for you, but else always a troublemaker and not without reason does the faq first list disabling infos if somethings problematic, continuing with broken codecs and so on. That's what you'll get when registering a codec systemwide forcibly (same with CCCP or even Haali Splitter), a good player does use them just for itself. Besides check comparisons, it's one of the worst qualities.
That's why mpv with low hardware/simply play (prev. vlc but nowadays def. mpv). Lav+madVR+any preferred player (I use PotPlayer) for best quality. ...... btw. Kodi imo actually best used for 3D films.

You're just expressing your opinion, and I'm only expressing mine. Good and bad depending on each. If a player was that bad, they probably didn't exist anymore. CCCP has stopped for 8 years. Don't guess other people's behavior like no one is active in your forum. You wouldn't know.

Whatever. The problems existing for over the time probably millions is not an opinion but FACT. It's really excessive , search any forum dealing with (playback) problems on k-lite or codec packs and you will very likely find many posts. And recommending that to others is indeed problematic.
Why does it still exist - well easy install, nostalgy, don't know it any better, many posts you'll find on net recommending it due to prev. points. And it might even work as long as you don't need any program incompatible with. Or you're unable to relate BlueScreens to it and screw the os. I don't event want to go into details - simply posting VERY FEW links:

I know, sometimes there are problems like that, I understand. But I didn't even find their problem complaint in my life. "But I have one file that won't play the sound." I've never had a problem like this. Don't underestimate my 12 years of experience on this subject.

thanks, yeah klite does use lav filters by default these days, just that it still does too much with its registrations leading to conflicts with other tools. At least they learned from the big ffdshow problematics putting it only in bigggest pack and give warmings but many still do install that because well, big helps big, right? And then they come crying.
