How do I watch this group encodes, it I tried different players and all of them showing choppiness and distortion of anime?

they did the fake 60fps frame-rate instead of the native 24-30fps. No way to get a good playback that I know of,. Look for a different release and avoid anything that says "HFR" in description.

btw, if you really want to, naked mpv is the most efficient thing I know of, and therefore your best chance. By "naked" I mean no added interface. There should be a mpv website listed on Wikipedia.
