Ha!  It worked.  I couldn't be online most of today due to appointments.

There is exactly one person who has a reason to be unhappy with me.  And it's so easy to see that person by what they say and even the cadence, contractions and inflections of how they write.

I was surprised by how many people at AT have been offended by what had been happening with these Aikatsu pages, even people who never visit these pages or watch this show.  I expect the real Aikatsu fans have been even more troubled and embarrassed than anyone else.

We're going to go back to having a great site in every way, no matter what it takes to get there.

Trolling

We all know about trolling (unfortunately) but for any newer fans, I'll mention a few things.

The term trolling is more like fishing than about gnomes.  They have two goals:

1. Try to bait you into wasting your time.
2. Try to make you angry.

If you want to give them some of your time, that's up to you, and nice of you to try helping.  But anger is an expensive resource, bad for the body and bad for your life.  Look to your own great future and use the mirror site if it's better for you.

And remember trolls are insincere.  This one harasses people with sexual comments and claims to be an Aikatsu fan...

It's sad that Gurphy_TC (Moderator) probably thinks he is the good guy in all of this. If anime reaches us anything, its that contrary to western ideas of objective good versus objective bad, our understanding of good and bad is actually very subjective.

In western culture, bad guys revel in being 'bad', but in the story telling of the east, most villains are sure that they are in the right, and convince themselves they have the moral high ground.

It is sad that these types cannot see that to everyone else, they appear like a tinpot tyrant, foaming at the mouth over literally nothing.

Guphy is one of those who thrive in hierarchical structures, where they grovel to those they perceive as being superior to themselves, and try to lord it over anyone perceived as being inferior. That personality type is not the type you want moderating a forum, although this might go missed by the admins as he undoubtedly fauns over them in the modchat threads.
