I wouldn't go as far as to shut down animetosho... if they don't know where to look people need other ways to find what they are looking for. There aren't many good free anime downloading sites left.
Other options are looking up the names of the up loader to see if they have their own site or posting a question to see if anyone else out there has what they are looking for to download.

it might have been. why burn resources when there are already links. AT has lost sources due to specific blocks or policy changes such as Sendspace, mega, solidfiles for a while and others. 130GB per day adds up quick.

really not that hard to ddl these files from mega... open the windows from the two links above, and a screen full of episodes and other files to download will appear. Right click what you want to download and I used "standard download". You can watch the progress, and when the file is complete, you select where you want your computer to put the file. There is a daily limit to what you can download for free, so I downloaded one episode or file at a time until the limit was hit. You can come back later to continue the downloading process.
