It doesn't help, but what's not allowed are  "Torrents of archives (eg .rar) which are password protected, and the password is not clearly stated in the torrent description or in the torrent."

I think admin would say it is up to the torrent site (in this case, Anidex) to enforce it's rules so complain there.

I don't know if that holds up.  This sort of thing could allow child porn which I am sure neither AT or Anidex would want to distribute.

AT doesn't have any rules about content being distributed in this fashion.  This release technically is breaking Anidex' rules, but given the increasingly unmanaged state of AD it's unlikely anything will be done.

The AT admins could always choose to discard releases with password-protected archives (for user safety, and not wasting space on DDL host, etc), but it adds further complexity to the release processing system.

Personally I'm really not a fan of Anidex's lack of moderation (or likely lack of interest from the site's maintainers).
Unfortunately it seems that only Nyaa actively moderates their content; other trackers don't seem to bother.
If a better alternative to Anidex shows up, I'd be happy to replace it.

There are substitutes for anidex, for example https://acg.rip, https://bangumi.moe, https://share.acgnx.se
But I don't know, whether it will be the same as anidex or not.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately I don't see any of them as substitutes as they don't seem to target the same audience (AT only deals with English translated entries).

Also, for what it is worth, this individual's "releases" are merely those made by others repackaged as theirs.  For example this "release" is a copy of a version of https://animetosho.org/view/zurako-kam...ed.1339184 with no attribution to the original release.

Another Anidex/Nyaa rule: "Do not add your own tags when reuploading an original release."

I think Anidex copy/pasted the Nyaa rules but lacks the community and staff, or will, to enforce.
