What a hack.... Looks like this time all he did was make ordered chapters out of someone else's encode, sad.
But never fear, he will find some stupid reason to put out a v3 so just wait for that instead of grabbing this one.

He'll probably make a new remux because he claimed this bad encode "blew all other encodes out of the water" only to be proven an idiot in the Nyaa comments. Apparently in his eyes, sharpening to the point of extreme ringing = epic encode.

While you bunch of sissies are complaining about it I'm enjoying it, I prefer the crisp look of this Remux than the anti-aliased version of the BD.

The quality is superb but I'm not liking the translation, I'm watching the first episode and the translation is referring those Gems as "He" or "Him", is this a translation error? they look like girls to me so why does the translation refer them as males?

Rocks have no gender, but English has no gender-neutral third-person pronoun. ("He" was gender-neutral... well over a thousand years ago.) I think that the singular "they" is an abomination, but in this case, I believe there's a very good argument to be made for "it" given that minerals are things.

One has to enter the world of the story.  There is no such thing as living minerals, so trying to apply meanings from real world physics is a mistake.  Gender is what the story makes it, and this story has female rocks.

hell yeah now i have a proper reason to jack my wiener off to a bunch of rocks

thanks mate

Their hymen would break you.

Er, no, within the story the characters are genderless, too... It works without any awkwardness in Japanese, but it's nearly impossible to convey it naturally in English.

Any author who thinks he can tell a genderless story is fooling him/her self.

This story is fairly meaningless anyway given the Monk and the Moon creatures.  It's more like a drug trip than one of fantasy.

Enjoy it if you can.

Yeah I'm trying to enjoy it, I'm in the middle of episode 4, so far I'm not seeing the big deal out of it, this seems pretty normal to me, nothing good but not bad either, if the story doesn't improve then I will end up giving this anime a 6/10.

I find the story to be way too slow for an anime with only 12 episodes.

To be fair, I rather have those characters be referred as "It", IMHO referring them as "He" or "Him" was pretty fucking stupid, the translation refer them as males when they actually look like females so in my mind I'm trying to do some mental gymnastic to not think of them as "Hermaphrodites".

I'm not a homophobic or anything like that but if the actual translation refer them as "gender-less" then don't fucking use "He" or "Him" on them because nowadays that's only used for male characters.

I think that's right.  It was a cheap trick.

I also see that in a lot of translations as well. If the person is translating from one language to another he or she should be looking at the screen to be able to determine male or female gender.  Even if the same word is used for both genders it should be corrected to fit the language it is being translated to. It bugs me a lot to see female characters talking to each other and all you see is "He or Him" and not "She or Her"

Our squiggly text game where the aim is to copy the image into the textbox. All characters are upper case, and there are no zeros (0) and ones (1) in the above image. Apparently bots aren't as good as humans at this game.
