This violates Anidex rules. Anidex user should be banned from AT.

I haven't seen this kind of stupidity in a long while. No one wants unusable, unverifiable files on their system. It opens the door to all sorts of scams.

It's best to strike this snake on the head again until it's dead again, by auto-skipping this Anidex user's torrents.

While its definitely old school for files this size thinking all rar files are filled with viruses is downright unnecessary paranoia.

Almost all video media was in rar format for around 2 decades and is still used for a lot of larger sized movies as well as  pc games and programs.
  Sure single video links are great and preferred but any time you download any video on this site with more than one link its basically the same thing and if you've been keeping up over the years some hosting sites were caught embedding malware. I doubt you complain about using sites like zippyshare though with small file size limits usually resulting in multiple files.

The only file hoster used here now with single links is Clicknupload. The other hosters for anything over 1gb are usually always multi files.
Video media doesn't carry infections by rule unless its not actually video media and disguised as video media.

If you are that worried setup a secure offline folder with ransomware protection and automatic scans for all zip and rar files.
Downloading rar files is generally safe as well as peaking at the contents of the file. If you are downloading video media in rar format only extract the video files. There should never be an executable file in a video rar file. If there is anything executable best to not press your luck and delete it. I usually wont even extract notepad files if they are in a video rar.

If this was infected someone would have mentioned it by now.

Before the admin created AnimeTosho with file hosting options most of the anime I  and others downloaded anywhere was almost always in rar format.

All of us that frequent here prefer file-hosters and single links for video media too but preferences a side I have no issues downloading in rar or zip. Did it for 2 decades and still occasionally download zip and rar.

The password protection is definitely lame though.

Don't need password protected files. Other options available, so skip.

don't know if it is media until extracted, don't know if the website you're forced to visit is hacked, don't know if you will know that you've been hacked.

don't know what you are advocating, unless your name is accurate. A pointless pro risk position, I guess.

P.S. admin splits the files here, not the hosts.

Don't need risks, rar serves no purpose.

Almost all of what you stated was completely wrong. Sure its great to be proactive and secure ( I am too) and nothing with that.
However trying to pass yourself off as knowledgeable in something you aren't failed miserably.
It came a across like someone stating they were a math teacher but couldn't do addition or any other math.

For the record I don't like password protected files without a listed password either. Groups that do that usually have ulterior motives. Most of the time its for recognition. On the same page with the password thing. You whining about rar files files though........

Thanks for the compliment I use Python and Java. Both created in the 90s. Python is still used widely used to this today in cyber security and hacking. Not to mention the DOD. Its old but its still an industry standard. Your intended insult is actually a compliment.

The issue was about password protected files. Instead of that, you went all over the place from media files to the history of rar. It sounds like you've reach a time in your life when you should be taking fish oil supplements. Rather lots, rather urgently. Have a happy remaining life.
