This anime is barely selling as far as I concern. It's just another one of those run down mecha shit. Hope this be a lesson to PA Work. The industry is already overunned by mecha in the first place and I was highly dissapointed seeing that their first original anime was a fucking mecha. Almost nobody is seeing this piece of trash, just what it deserved. Hope this be a fucking hard lesson.

We are ONE, we sail under the one banner, WE ARE THE MEDIUM PIRATES!
I dont enjoy mecha, but you man, tune it down, cause its for those who actually like it.

He's too harsh but for all intent and purposes, this anime did fail hard. Both the Japanese and western fans barely even watch this thing and some say it's forgettable. Maybe PA Works was trying to cash in on that mecha galore since JP fans adore those but this one just turned out just like Argevollen. They should make out a different original anime next time and uses genre that is their specialty and in my opinion, P.A Works succeeded a lot in family themed slice of life like Uchouten, Tari Tari and Hanasaku Iroha. They do managed to create some crap in that genre as well but who doesn't?..They are an exceptional studio with great animation talent and treated their animator as best as they could according to some online stuff I read. They shouldn't be wasting with this "Kurumukuro". I remembered using to root a lot for this anime to be a haunting anime like Another since we seriously have a lack of those but what the hell...

Ok, the following is my opinion and my opinion alone.

There are those out there that this anime does not interest them, mostly because of the story itself. However I get why this was made. It is P.A.Works 15th anniversary this is why the story takes place in the same town as the studio. My guess mechs are used in the story to pay homage to the great animations/designers/animators of the past which helped lay the foundation for today's anime.

I've checked around and I can't find anything that says this anime officially failed. All ratings I looked at showed it as good and there are people out there who actually like it. I've been watching it, the story could have been more epic and have more drama, but it's ok. I think the target audience is for young teenagers? There are some holes in the story that don't make sense, but it's there to progress the story. Visually the animation is very good to me. The mix of 3d and 2d is very good. Fight scenes have good flowing motion. Character designs are standard P.A.Works.

To me there are only two studio's I have to see their work no matter what it is. Both of them keep moving the bar up on the visual aspect of animation, UFOTable & P.A.Works.  It was mentioned that P.A.Works treat their employees well, that is true because the reason P.A.Works was created was to gather artists in the animation field and bring them together to create their magic for all of us.

In respect to all the people who worked really hard to make this anime and in respect to Kenji Horikawa, some might not like it and that's OK, but it is not trash.

I like mech not, but this one was enjoyable for me.

And my two studios that I watch their work no matter what (and actually like most of their works) are: Shaft and Kyoto Animations.
