yes it should be quite the improvement compared to the files you seem to download, as this uses transparent encode settings and is filtered.

Encoded videos are usually better than web-dls because they are filtered

if you cant really notice the differences between those two (as you mentioned above) just pick the size that you're most comfortable with

Well there is no recommendation for blue archive in that resource? so that link is no use then. also we're talking about blue archive here. only kaleido and prenephates subbing it according to fansubdb. im pretty sure encoders @ kaleido know what theyre doing. so what are you on about?

I'm making a general statement about the quality of fansub encodes. As for sneedex it's just a general purpose tool. If you're hyper fixated on the little girls in the show I don't think this is the best place to talk about it.

Eh? Aren't they all web-dls - 1080p seems to be in this range for 25min or so anime? What size is recommended then.
Unless it's a leak encode of the original intermediate master how much detail can anyone add.

Nobody is talking about adding detail, you can simply make it out of thin air. Good encoders will try to keep the source's detail while removing any compression artifacts in it, producing a better than source result, with all the detail and none (or very little) of it's flaws

There's no magic bitrate that will fix everything, sometimes 4gb/ep is justified (in grainy sources for example)...
