Oh damn, it looks really bad at 4:41... I thought AV1 would be able to handle even the pollen stuff at this size.

AV1 all the way!

The bitrate is only about 1600kbps and the minimum used CRF is 25, that's not nearly enough to make such complex scenes look good.
