I try to play this using kmplayer with 10bit codec from cccp and i got bluescreen. Other show works normal, just this encode from FFF.. Do u guys do something to your release?

I would suggest downloading the newest version of KMPlayer.  It has native Hi10P (10-bit) support, no additional downloads or codecs required.  Within KMP there is an update link and a link to the KMP forums which you find by right clicking the screen and going to the bottom menu item.  It's better to go to the forums, as the auto-update link in the past didn't aways work.

For speed and playback options, KMP's a great choice.  For ease of use, VLC now has hi10p support and a lot of fans (not me).

I can't find anything unusual in this FFF release, but maybe they used something newer or older than mainstream.  They were chatting about ways to speed up subtitle rendering a while back.

I've lchecked thru the other episodes, and there appear to be a very small group of people who are having consistent problems with this title by this group.  One of them went through every video player and configuration but still got BSOD (blue screen of death).  Given the vast majority have no problems my best guess would be that this is a hardware specific problem for some video cards/chip.  So two suggestions:
1. Check to see if you have all the latest drivers for your hardware, esp. video.
2. Last hope: If you are using Win7-64 bit version (and you probably are) Go to the MPC-HC webpage.  Download and install the 64-bit version of this program and try that.  It installs to a different folder than MPC-HC so they can co-exist.  There are several infrequently used 32-bit to 64-bit conversion calls that Win7 messes up.  Your hardware and FFF might somehow hit that gap.

Sorry, but there are too few cases and too little information to figure out anything else.  I'd guess this problem is something like 1 in 5000 users or less.  But it's probably good to know you're not the absolute only one.

Lastly, you could just give up on FFF for this title.  If you want uncensored, as this is, that leaves SubDesu and Hadena, I think.  Horrible Subs has a censored English-titled version of this, "So I can't Play H" or something like that, as does CR, but I won't repeat their title.

i can play other 10bit just fine, but the only problem is with FFF releases. Is it possible that FFF releases use more resources than any other 10 bit encoded files?

Its your setup, the file plays just fine for me. I've tested KMPlayer, its a garbage video player. Just uninstall it along with CCCP and any other codecs you might have and use this guide.

http://haruhichan.com/wpblog/index.php...guide.html

It takes all of 5-10mins to setup and I almost guarantee that it works better then your current setup. Also, you're probably not viewing true 10-bit, but 10-bit dithered to 8-bit.

I should know, I'm a anime encoder.

That you, Daiz?

Sorry, you have the wrong faggot.
06/08/2012 02:58 — GeassConan
WTF?? Who is Diaz? How would you know from this?
06/08/2012 12:25 — Anonymous
Daiz is Underwater-Subs, and a Nyaa moderator.  Well known for fights with Coalgirls and Doki.  This conversation didn't sound like him to me, as specific video players are not an issue I've heard him talk about.  He's more big issues oriented.

The last time I visited Underwater-Subs Daiz was describing a new policy of providing any fansub services a person asks for --fee based.  I had hoped he was joking, but I guess times are tough.

Look at the date of that post.
It's a joke.

Ah, as I thought.  If Europe wasn't in the toilet I would have yawned sooner.  We live in unfunny times.

KMPlayer isn't (or wasn't) bad - it just hasn't really been updated in quite some time but has been continued in PotPlayer. Actually I believe there is a newer version of "KMPlayer" but it isn't really developed by the original author so it isn't the same. Most KMPlayer fans moved onto PotPlayer.
Just a FYI.

As seeing that pretty much no-one has a 10-bit display, much less an 8-bit capable screen, it's going to be dithered down to some lower bit-depth. The source isn't 10-bit anyway.

Thanks for the info and link nonetheless :)

Thanks for the reminder about POTplayer.  I had been meaning to check it out.  The main talent of KMP's original author is hard to describe, although various court papers have tried...  Still, that was exactly what I wanted: the best ideas.

"POTPlayer"? I don't care what it stands for.  People who can create video players should never be allowed to name them themselves.  It never turns out well.

yeah, potplayer... wtf? at least kmplayer sounds cooler.. its like " Hey, what kind of player you use to watch anime? hmm i use POTplayer... not cool dude, not cool
06/08/2012 15:04 — GeassConan
I use POTPlayer, and it's not that good. I would not recomment mkvs with POT. Smoking them or playing with them ...

Wiki: "The CNET review noted "Its built-in codecs handle most video formats" and "It has several levels of controls and settings, making the most useful commands easily accessible", concluding that "Daum Potplayer proved one of the more versatile freeware players we've tried". The editor gave it a rating of "Spectacular".[4]

Lifehacker chose PotPlayer as the "Best Video Player for Windows", saying, "For its great performance, high number of features, and ability to play just about anything, we recommend PotPlayer for all your video playing needs."[3] PotPlayer was also chosen by Lifehacker readers as the third most popular Blu-ray playback suite. [5]

Giorgiana Bursuc, writing for Softpedia, noted that, "PotPlayer gives its users great control over its functions [...]", concluding, "PotPlayer is a comprehensive multimedia software that plays movies and display subtitles in a seamless way, without asking too much input from users, unless they specifically want to personalize it to their liking and modify its default settings." She gave it a rating of 4.5 out of 5.[1]

Elena Santos, writing for Softonic, noted that PotPlayer "is yet one another video player that stands out for an impressive list of supported formats and a bunch of configuration settings", and gave it a rating of 8 out of 10.[6]"

Well it maybe true that POTPlayer is spectacular and all, but the name itself is not that favored by most of the community. If they provide the SOS i just gonna compile it and rename it myself
07/08/2012 10:55 — admin
But what's really wrong with developers naming their applications (or websites, for that matter)?
07/08/2012 22:51 — Anonymous
Most of them lack your style, your whimical take on this ephemeral world, your........Did you just rename this site "Anime Pot"??????!!!!

I rest my case.
07/08/2012 22:53 — Anonymous
I thought I typed "whimsical" but the "s" disappeared between the typing box and the post.  Weird.
