for 1080p screens 4K upcales actually look bad he isn't incorrect here, but in this case when i compared closely this version looked better than CR due to reduced bading and grain

How a higher resolution video looks on a lower resolution displays depends on the scaling algorithm used by the video player. So in this case you're just saying he is incorrect because whatever you're using is making the result look worse. And less banding and grain isn't an absolute plus either, less grain generally means less detail, and less banding could indicate debanding which also harms fine detail. However, it's entirely up to you whether you prefer the less grainy look of media.

Most here DL watch and delete. And since they aren't watching on big screens they aren't inconvenienced by small flaws.
Only archivers (some) really care, but I have quite a bit of what some call minis even though I'm approaching close to 200TB in storage space.
Also those that fixate on single frame comparisons looking for a spot here or there is not going to notice when it is actually playing unless there is obvious blocking or banding.
I agree on the snobs comment.

Well i have 1080p monitor too i see this video look's way better than cr maybe because of video sharpness he thought some details lost actually more details in this one and iqiyi use their own upscale model
