The original Aika and R-16 didn't receive Blu-rays and at best R-16 got an HD TV airing so yeah very obvious 1080p DVD upscales from the NTSC DVDs which are 720x480 max
This should be removed alongside the Deadmau raw the video came from

Deadmau- RAWS has been known to upload upscales to nyaa in the past.
