This series is horrible. It's nothing like the series back in 2019. There is so much that isn't explained. To me this seems like more like a diary from episode to episode.
Do I need to read the manga or books to understand what is going on?

the quality is really bad animation and the VA. But the story is pretty good.

the story is meh. I only watch this because Kenjirou Tsuda. thank god they didn't change the MC's VA.

I read the novel, the story is quite good. Just because there is Seto Kaiba will not provide stimulation if you think the story is meh. Not mention their voices. I was expecting a much better animation not worse, Even Kaiba gives a bad voice.

It's okay if you think the story is quite good. I also read the novel but still the story is quite meh imho. But hearing kenjirou tsuda voice in an adaptation is always a plus in my book.

Maybe if they rebooted the original 2019 series with these character versions and kept it going into a season two or three.
But so far it's a disappointment for me as well.
