Believe it or not, they should just ditch 480p, most mini viewer prefer 720p. Doubt even people watch 480p this day&age

It's the file size -not a keeper but 480p is fine for a quick look at a low priority show.

What does this matter to people who don't use it? How unemployed can a person be.

Lets take a short look .... 241 completed. 2020 it have been 4,5k https://animetosho.org/view/n1299311 , and over 1k still 2023 https://animetosho.org/view/n1639336 (just checking nyaa - anidex & co even do have a higher count). So I doubt your claim no one watches this these days. Think of poor regions where bandwidth/limits or disc-capacity especially on weak (2nd/3rd hand) hardware still matters. Else i'd rather even say dl a mini encode with better codec.
