Will they ever learn that there never has been nor will there ever be a place for 10bit in the media World? 99.999% of all 10bit media is Anime. The 00.001% can be found randomly posted in other media but is soon discarded as a corrupted file because in this world media players don't play non standard encoded files. There's no benefit encoding bit10 files. If you really want to watch 10bit media. Then change the settings on your media player to output 10bit video. It can even be done on software media players. It's that simple.
Example: Meida Player Classic(MPC) Click on VIEW then RENDERER SETTINGS then PRESENTATION halfway down check 10bit RGB output (RGB=Red Green Blue)

#Even a Pawn can take down a King#
"99.999% of all 10bit media is Anime." <=???=> "There's no benefit encoding bit10 files."
LOL. Likely pure coincidence, I guess...

Anime-encoders care about what they do.
They ran many tests and decided that it's best to do 10-bit encodes.
Most software-players are able to play it.
If you don't like that, re-encode that stuff or stop complaining.
If you still want to complain, direct it to the author.

You should definitely run a campaign for something since you've been here for so long posting your hatred for 10bit video from time to time. Use that ridiculous attitude for something better.

Possibilities are endless ...
Did I just read a not-so-funny joke?!!

This is 2017 and the era of 4k, 8k, HEVC, 12-bit (let alone 10-bit) and many other advances in video/audio technology.
Nowadays even cheap Android devices can play HEVC, 12-bit videos (needles to mention AVC, 10-bit).
Today monitors and TVs (any new TV, Smart or not) can directly (through USB port) play AVC, 10-bit videos.
(Well, it's a shame that even Smart TVs bought in 2015 can't play HEVC videos but hopefully, this problem will be solved very soon. (I think this year))

So there's no need to complain about AVC, 10-bit videos. Just buy a new device or wait a little longer to buy a device that can even play HEVC,
because HEVC, 4k and ... are the future of entertainment industry.
(You don't expect to see diaul-up connection, AVI, Xvid, mere 8-bit videos and ... in 2020, right?!)

This is worth a shot because it may end your strife: You have a misunderstanding about 10-bit encodes --it's NOT about output settings in your media player.  It's about the averaging values the encode creates and uses internally during data reduction, something which you can't do anything about in your media player. The 10-bit encode procedures are more efficient and create a better image than the 8-bit procedures.  There's nothing you can do in your media player that has anything to do with this.

That being said, you should realize that you don't understand encoding, and try to learn, or move on.

Our squiggly text game where the aim is to copy the image into the textbox. All characters are upper case, and there are no zeros (0) and ones (1) in the above image. Apparently bots aren't as good as humans at this game.
