Netflix US Evangelion has missing music cues and the iconic karaoke style covers of Fly Me To The Moon that used to end every episode, but Netflix Japan has it, probably because of not paying for a music license. Really dismaying streaming can do this.

So what? I don't care about subs for the OP or the ED, all I care about is the show. If you don't like the lack of karaoke then mux in your own from another release.

old dub still sounds much better.

no reason for netflix to have created a second shitty dub.

Should just get 2D4U's release. It has the better dub and drastically better Blu-ray video.

NF didn't want to pay licensing fee/royalty for the old dub (given how high they have already paid for north america distribution license). Funimation, Sentai Filmworks does the same thing.

Then that just proves how bad their dub is if they're too cheap to pay licensing fees that they opt to make a new dub that is cheaper than licensing an existing dub then clearly they made the dub with whatever voice actors they could hire the extremely cheap.

In-house dubbing (own dub production studio) is cheaper when you simulcast so many new shows (ie. Funimation/Sony). Overall cost of producing a new dub for old shows are also lot less because you don't have to re-negotiate contract fees/wages with outside production studios where most of the VAs are unionized, but also because you don't have any control over how high the future cost might run because of length or popularity of show.
These companies (Funimation/Sony, Netflix, Sentai filmworks) have to maximize profit while bringing new/old shows to english speaking countries. While this is the best way to do it, they are however, sometimes missing out the chance to work with many industry veteran/well known VAs. This is just how the way of the world is now. And 99% of fans don't care.

btw, Netflix dub for this show is good.

Considering they couldn't bother to license the actual original ED, chances are they also only bothered with the Original versions of those episodes.
