Absent better suggestions, the only time related event are the chapter markers.  In the not-distant past, VLC did not implement chapters properly.  It created problems like anime that would only play to the first marker and then looped back to the beginning endlessly.  Or didn't play at all..  I contacted VLC staff at that time to see what was up.  They said they knew about the issue but thought chapters were dumb and had no fixes planned.  If this is the problem, the first direction that comes to mind is using Haali's Media Splitter, if you aren't already with VLC.  Or maybe some of the other Haali products.  Sorry, brain dead tonight.  Enjoy WMP.

Continuing my last note, if it's as fundamental as chapters in VLC, I don't know if it can be fixed.  Haali's Media Splitter would be the best possibility I think.  Go to the Haali web page ( http://haali.su/mkv/ ), download the MatroskaSplitter installer and install it on your system (this is a very well-known product).  Then start VLC and add Haali Media Splitter as an external splitter/decoder and use it for h264 (Adding and specifying usage are usually two separate steps).  You'll know you've got it working if you see a Haali icon in your system tray when you play a h264 file, like the one on this page.

VLC presents a clean interface and is easy to use, but it allows too few options for specialties like subtitled anime.  And it was bloated and slow the last time I was looking at it, and it had that chapters problem and didn't handle subtitles well either.  So for as long as it suites your needs, great.  But looking ahead:

1. Windows own Media Player?: I congratulate you that you got it working at all

2. CCCP ( http://cccp-project.net/ ) : This is a main option designed for anime.  It includes MediaPlayer Classic - Home Cinema edition.  Easy to install and use, ugly in many ways, mediocre performance, but it gets the job done for most people.

3. Potplayer-64bit.  In media players, the worse the name, the better the product, it seems.  Not easy to get or use unless you read Korean and understand something about media players, but fantastic performance.  I won't include this web site, it's just a hint for when you need more than CCCP, if you ever do.  Close to the slowest mobile I3 processor (i3-2350m) can play Hi10P 1080p under Windows7 with this player.  I have yet to find anything chunky enough to choke it, not that certain fansub groups haven't been trying their best...

The PotPlayer Help documentation may qualify as a brand new form of encryption...

"Absent better suggestions".  I meant better ideas about what the specific problem could be.  Other than chapters, I would next think about audio buffers and cache settings.  These kind of problems can be difficult to identify and fix.  But if you see some audio settings you want to play with, just be sure you can undo your changes.

can somebody please reupload it or upload 720p of this concert.. 8GB is too big for me to download.
18/06/2013 09:22 — admin
I just so happen to have a 720p 10-bit re-encode with Vorbis audio of this file, weighing in at a healthy 3.64GB.
If you're interested, name some host(s) and I'll see if it can be sent to one of them.

Admin, if this offer is still available I'd like to take you up on it.  Sorry for the delay in the request, but I've just been discovering Miku-love.  Anon is my favorite host.  I'll understand if I'm too late.  Why should holographic romance be any different...

As it so happens I deleted the partially uploaded file...
I'll upload it again, but my home connection's upload speed is really slow, so it'll take time.

Thanks!  Sorry for the trouble.  Your slow home connection makes me doubt the idea of justice in this world, considering this wonderful AT site you created for everyone.

Thanks for comment, though, relatively speaking, my download is actually fairly fast - at least faster than I need it, to be honest.
I do wish upload was faster though; 1Mbps is faster than what most people can even get around here, and is usually fine, unless one is uploading gigabyte sized files...

Okay, I kinda lied, it's not really the upload speed so much, rather, I'm not at home that often, so it will still take some time.

I'm not sure what you mean with "justice"; if you're referring to the download/upload processing of this website, it's done on a dedicated server, hosted at a data centre, with significantly more upstream bandwidth than I have at home.

Thanks, admin.  It worked perfectly.  It's very interesting and fun to watch the concert.  The re-encode seems fine for quality and it's a far more reasonable file size.  Strangely, the music in the live concert seems better than the studio recordings to me.  First time I've ever preferred "live" over studio for the same songs.  Perhaps something about spontaneous variation with live musicians muffles the cpu clock feel of otherwise absolutely accurate rhythms.

Thanks again.

how to extract the files?
04/03/2014 07:00 *Galaxy_Defenders
Use 7-zip, the free, open-source zip utility:

http://www.7-zip.org

First unzip with 7-zip, then use 7-zip to combine the parts.
