why is it that vlc cant play both your sao movie files ? I am so confused and had to use the windows 11 new media player for it to work :/

At least use decent media players like MPC-HC with the madVR renderer or ideally the best performer MPV.

I recommend you to use potplayer. VLC is outdated to me.

Because VLC is poor and not the best media player any more since long ago. Use K-Lite Codec Pack (which has MPC-HC as its default player) or mpv.
