Author's note: "These are the subs from the US release of Bakemonogatari. There are 3 tracks; 1 with signs, 1 without, and 1 for the commentary. These are subtitles straight from the bluray in SUP format. You will have to convert/split them yourself if you want to use them."

To which I ask again: How do I do that?

Th thing is, I already have these downloaded, and I thought it would be nice to put these into my already-existing files.

So I ask again: How do I convert/split them myself?

I tried putting those to what I already have, and it corrupted the files.

1. SUP format: Support for this format was just added to the latest release of Potplayer.  Then, as far as I know, it would just have to be in the same folder with the associated raws.  But I don't have these Bake raws, so I can't check on this for you.  You can get Potplayer via downloads.cnet.com  And it's good to be familiar with more than one videoplayer for occasions such as these.  I wasn't able to get SUP subtitles to play in MPC-HC for another show some users here were having trouble with, but wiki says they are supported in MPC-HC.

2. In the other AT reference, sup subtitles converted to ass format it would just have to be in the same folder as the raw, then selected either automatically or manually during playback.  The flac commentary I would add as an additional audio track using Mkvmerge.  (A free tool everyone should know about.)

Without the raws, that's all I can tell you.  I'd like to see what text the pros came up with, but among fansubs I have a preference for Coalgirl's mod of Korhbin over ANE's mod of gg.  (My test: who makes the tundra-tsundere scariest.)

And there's qIIq-Thora, I forgot to mention.  The credits in OP1 are quite something, given what it must have taken to do it then.  Or maybe even now.
