HS is ripping from Funimation as well, of course they would have the same file size and subtitles.
His rip is useless since HS already ripped it but that doesn't mean he stole them at all.

I don't know anything about that, but since it's exactly the same video from the same source, isn't normal that they have the same?

I always think the CRC, MD5, and SHA1 is a way to identify file uniqueness.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

No thats not how it works, each persons rip would have a unique CRC32, etc. This is obviously Horriblesubs file renamed.

I'm not entirely sure of the ripping process, but I'd imagine that the source is unlikely an MKV file. In other words, even if the video, audio and subtitles are direct copies, the muxing is likely unique.
Since mkvmerge generates random GUIDs every time you mux (unless you've forced it to do otherwise), different rips should generate different hashes.

In the other softsubbed shows you can read "HorribleSubs" in the ass file of the "AWI" version.

If there were two independent versions of CR rips, that might be useful. But having some idiot change a file name and re-torrent a file -I don't see any use of that for us.

No doubt the AWI motivation is to get people to visit the AWI website, for one reason or another.
